Vitter will not concede until all votes are counted. Which could be a while.

Looking over the maps...it looks like most of what's left is in Orleans and East Baton Rouge.

I agree that Edwards was helped enormously by Vitter's mistakes, but I doubt he would've won without really going after Vitter and presenting himself as a solid alternative. Plenty of Democrats last year ran against unpopular Republicans, but ran poor campaigns and lost.

Of course Vitter is going to win.

Do you really believe the LA whites are going to vote for a democrat when basically a black democrat is the president?

This is the south guys.

windjammer really screwed the pooch on this one, as did Griffin and several others.

I mean, my numbers were off, but at least I know John Bel was going to ring David Vitters neck to deliver a victory for Louisiana!

And I love that East Baton Rouge and Orleans are the two parishes with the least amount in.

...but there's 75% in (55-45 JBE)

Looking at what's left I reckon Edwards might actually do better than 55/45.

I think this requires a new term - Vitter'd. Because he was so up in this race for so long, only to lose by a big margin to the guy nobody thought would make it.
