The elections in Finland are going to be interesting. What happens to the support of the eurosceptic True Finns and how many seats the other big three are going to lose to them. I don't believe that True Finns are going to make an alliance with the Christian Democrats this time so they're going to lose their only seat. I don't predict that there's going to big changes in the Finnish elections.

My prediction for Finland:
National Coalition party (EPP) 3 (0)
Social Democrats (S&D) 2 (0)
The Center party (ALDE) 2 (-1)
The True Finns (EFD) 2 (+1)
Green League (Greens/EFA) 2 (0)
Swedish People Party (ALDE) 1 (0)
Left Alliance (GUE/NGL) 1 (+1)
Christian Democrats 0 (-1)

This is kind of interesting although the list of parties isn't complete.

You have to register, just to fill out a glorified questionnaire? F' that.

Yep, I was surprised that you have to register or use your Facebook-account.

A 4 % treshold in Italy would imply that only six parties migh get seats. Were three off them ar close to the threshold (SC, SEL and LN).
PD 28%
PDL 26%
M5 17%
SC (Monti) 6%
SEL 5%
LN  5%

What is going to happen to the SEL now they're broken their ties with PD. Are they going to run on their own or is it possible that they're going to go back to alliance with CR?

edit : I realise you may have been talking about Civic Revolution instead. If so, I don't know.

Yep, sorry I was unclear.

I am also interested about the question of parliamentary group in the case that SEL gets MEP(s). Now that they're not going to be in alliance with PD I guess that they're going to sit in the GUE/NGL-group?

The first poll about European elections was published today by the public broadcasting company YLE. The result shows that the social democrats are still losing support and the right-wing populist True Finns are on the rise and getting 3 MEPS.

Poll:

National Coalition Party (EPP) 22,7 % (-0,5)
Center Party (ALDE) 21,7 % (+2,7)
The True Finns (?) 17 % (+7,2)
Social Democrats (PES) 15,4 % (-2,1)
The Greens (EG) 8,1 % (-4,3)
Left Alliance (GUE/NGL) 7,1 % (+1,2)
Christian Democrats (EPP) 3,6 (-0,6)
Swedish People's Party (ALDE) 3,5 % (-2,6)
Other 0,9 % (-1,0)

It seems that the traditionally pro-EU parties like Greens and Social Democrats are facing heavy loses :/ Of course I am happy to see that the Left Alliance is growing and it seems that we're going to secure our seat back.

Seats:
National Coalition       3 MEPs (-)
Center Party               3 MEPs (-)
True Finns                   3 MEPs (+2)
Social Democrats        2 MEPs (-)
Greens                       1 MEP (-1)
Left Alliance                1 MEP (+1)
Christian Democrats   0 MEP (-1)
Swedes                      0 MEP (-1)

1. Hanna Sarkkinen - Vasemmistoliitto - Finlande GUE-NGL - 93 %

I got her too and I think I am going to vote for her Purple heart (She's second from the left)

The poll before the elections in Finland. SDP is going down and Left Alliance is getting up partly because of the move to the opposition. The problem for the Left Alliance is to get our supporters really to go to vote.

I personally always vote for the party I feel closer to ideologically no matter how small it is (in 2012 I wanted Obama to win, but I voted for Stein).  It might seem like a wasted vote, but who knows maybe one day the USA Green Party will become a force, and maybe that one vote I gave it, will give them the courage to continue.

I completely agree on this; there's no useless vote.
