Other: The state shouldn't decide who should be allowed to get married anymore than the state should decide who gets to take communion.

Support it, just as women support the 19th amendment.

Support. It isn't of overwhelming theoretical importance to me but I have personal reasons to care strongly about it.

Of course, but this reasoning works with every issue, doesn't it? I just think the plight of gay people who can't marry isn't quite as awful as that of, say, poor people who have a hard time accessing to food, housing or health.

And BTW, even staying on "LGBT issues", I don't think marriage is really the priority. Fighting against discrimination, bullying, various displays of hatred, or sh*t like the "conversion therapies" seems much more important to me.

Yep, completely agree with this. It should be a minor part of any leftist package, not one of the chief ambitions.

I actually think that the Legal Contract and joint accounts should be separated from the romantic and religious. If you want your beautiful ceremony or whatever you get married, but if you want all those legal stuff you apply for a civil union.  If you want to do both, than you do both.

This, but for the LGBTQ+ movement as a whole. It, like my religion, is a long, personal story.
