Is it high/moderate/low?

There have been an increasing number of burglaries in my neighborhood as of late, but it's one of the "safer" areas, all in all. Tongue

Moderate? There's some property crime but I can feel comfortable alone at night. Hartford has some very sketchy neighborhoods though.

Thailand has so little crime it seems rather unreal.  That said, there is sometimes some misbehavior where people are drunk or youths out late at night, etc.

Not too bad.  The violent crime rate is lower than the national average.  Property crime rate is about equal to the national average.

Low in my hometown, though many of the larger surrounding cities are an absolute nightmare for crime.

I'm from Mid-town, so not too much, but in the northern parts of Tulsa crime is fairly high.

What about hit and runs? From what I have read it sounds like a real nightmare on LA roads. Im more of a walker myself.

most likely really low. There is a concern among some about people leaving Detroit and moving in a crime going up in the suburbs. But I live a few suburbs over from Detroit.

I don't know anything about the Amish Mafia, and the weird juxtaposition of German and Italian rattles my brain so I didn't click on your link--pick a better name for the phenomenon if you want us to study it--but I am aware that the Amish are one of the the main suppliers of meth in this county.

Anyway, I was giving stats for only Manheim Township part of 17601.  Obviously, that part of the zipcode that extends into the city limits of Lancaster will have higher crime stats.

There's a small to medium sized amount of crime in Harrah (immediately to my North and East), mostly home burglaries and domestic disputes.  Shawnee has been getting rough as of late.  Choctaw (immediately to my west) seems to have one or two incidents a month, generally of the animal cruelty variety or domestic disputes variety.  There are parts of Midwest City and Oklahoma City that it is risky to even drive through in broad daylight and you sure as heck don't pass through between 6:00 pm and 7:00 am.  If you have to drive through, lock your doors and keep on driving, do not stop.

Illegals without insurance. Unfortunately that does happen more in California.

What part of SoCal do you live in, Moderate? Do you have a nice car?

The part of Nashville I live in has fairly low crime I think. I haven't heard much about crime around here at least. The area I work in is a mix between non-immigrant working class and hipsters, so there is a fairly high crime out there, which concerns me more than where I live which is mostly immigrants and middle class whites.

That's what happens when you don't allow illegals to get drivers licenses.

what, are there really areas of Oklahoma city you shouldn't drive through during the day? You can pretty much drive on any primary road through Detroit in broad daylight and be fine, I wouldn't drive into some neighborhoods. I have been in Detroit after dark quite a few times, most of them were downtown Detroit which is safe enough to walk around even after dark especially if there is a sporting event or something. But other times I have been on main roads of Detroit after dark, sometimes even after midnight and didn't feel that unsafe. Most of the time you take the freeway in and out of Detroit and can be out of Detroit in 15 minutes from Downtown. I wouldn't recommend just randomly driving around Detroit after Dark outside of Downtown but stick to main roads and you should be ok.

Main roads you're fine for the most part.  Again, as long as you keep your doors locked and do not stop other than as required by law.  Do not get out of your car.  There are a few pockets in the Oklahoma City Metro.  Men generally don't have trouble, but I don't recommend women going alone through those areas.  The majority of the Oklahoma City Metro that are as safe as a big city can be.  Usually the bad pockets aren't more than a couple or three square miles big.  After dark, stay away from those areas.

The area around the Maisha Orphanage in Kisumu, Kenya is safer in some respects than some of the areas in Oklahoma City.
