Our good friend the 506 (who posted a lot of poll maps back in the day) has created a wonderful site that has poll maps of every riding since 2000: http://election-atlas.ca/fed/

Just click on a riding and click on poll maps to see them all.

If he ever comes back here and sees this, well done sir! Great site!

He plans on having provincial maps up as well, and to have poll maps from before 2000.

Oh, good. I discovered my precinct voted Liberal in 2000.

As did mine. So weird, thinking about it. This apartment complex is heavily NDP.

Well, 13 years ago, things were different. Liberals were winning in ridings were they aren't even competitive right now. In my riding, they won in 2000 and narrowly lost in 2004. Last election, they were a distant 4th.

Those were the time where they got all seats but 1 in Ontario, were having half of Quebec seats and had seats in all provinces, even Alberta.

Thanks for the link! Sorry I haven't been around here lately...too many other things going on for me the past year or two.

I've been working on this for the last 4-5 months and just got it up today. The site isn't nearly done...I still want to add 1997 poll maps, by-elections and get to work on the provincial maps (starting with BC...want to get something up by the election.)

Hope you all enjoy!

I suppose you plan on doing poll maps for 1993 and beyond? Those will be trickier without shapefiles, you'd have to make them yourself. I guess you'd start with just the riding boundaries.

Anyways, I look forward to your updates. Keep us posted!

If I can find older poll maps, I'll try and do something. Definitely riding boundaries though, even if I have to make them myself.

I'll also be posting updates on twitter (@electionatlasCA) and my blog.

Surprised about Outremont. Bloc was close to win before Mulcair.
Bloc was winning Plateau, the zone around the University and Outremont proper, but it was destroyed in anglophone Mile End and immigrant Côte-des-Neiges.

Wow this is awesome. Can't say there are many surprises in my riding though.

Here's my first blog post. Basically hypothesizing that the main reason Peter Penashue won Labrador was because he increased turnout in his hometown.

Just a couple updates:

* As soon as the poll-by-poll results are released for both the BC provincial and Labrador by-elections, they'll be added to the site ASAP. It takes a few days for me to process and map everything, but I'll do it as fast as I can.
* I've started working on the Ontario section in case Wynne and Horwath have a falling out and they go to the polls. Look for it in about a month's time.

I've just added poll-by-poll maps from 1997. Enjoy!

Next up is BC 2013, now that their poll-by-poll results are out ( http://www3.elections.bc.ca/index.php/resource-centre/reports/ ). Soon as that's done, I'm going to finish Ontario.

Woohoo! I'm glad the BC stuff is out before the Westside-Kelowna by-election.

Do you plan on doing elections further back? I know it would be extremely painstaking... I do know that the Library here has the poll by poll results of all the federal elections between 1957 and 1993, but no poll maps Sad (Well, I havent really looked for poll maps...)

The UNB library here has them all back to 1900 or so, but again, no maps. If someone came across some maps, I'd try and do *something*. The plan is to at least put riding maps together from the descriptions on that Library of Parliament website, but that's a long term project.

I think the Carleton University library might have some poll maps, I will have to look around.

I guess one place to look is the national archives?

Any idea where I can get the Ontario results from last election in a spreadsheet format as opposed to PDF as well as maps so I can figure out the results by municipality like I did federally?

Hey now, we're still waiting for the 2011 federal results by municipality Wink
