As I've said elsewhere, the entire party is suffering from some sort of reality crushing psychosis. And I don't mean that in some sort of flipppant, dismissive way. Seriously. There is something mentally wrong with Republican voters.
There is no comparing the average Republican to the likes of Louie Gohmert. There's a fine line between holding old-fashioned views passed onto you by family and culture and being the most glaring argument for better mental healthcare in the entire country.
