I like these amendments.  Is there going to be a vote on them?

I'd like to propose the following amendment:

III. ENDORSEMENTS AND PRIMARIES

...

7. Regardless of the number of candidates running for president or the party affiliations of said candidates, a Federalist primary shall be held within three (3) weeks of all presidential elections to determine which ticket will receive the endorsement and resources of the Federalist Party. Candidates wishing to run in this primary must also put forward the name of their chosen running mate. Contrary to the above, the Federalist Party may make an exception and run two presidential tickets in June 2013. The prior sentence and this one will automatically be stricken from the bylaws after the June 2013 presidential election.

Instead of having a potentially divisive primary and potentially causing division in the party, why not run two tickets and simply second preference each other? That way whichever has the better appeal among the general Atlasian voting population would stand a chance to be elected.

If I may interrupt, when do the Federalists plan on having their Mideast Senate primary?  There is going to be an interregional debate soon, so we would like to resolve any scheduling issues if necessary.

You should decide amongst yourselves, and ask the candidates of course, if they would be interested in either waiting until a nominee is determined, or participating in the debate together.

I've told the candidates that our primary will likely occur one week before the vote. If it's okay, it would probably be best for all of them to participate in the debate.
