That's roughly what I get John.  I'd be curious about how many of the nine listed US senate votes where you agree with the ACLU.

The reason I'm asking is because I tend to be in fairly close agreement with you on economic and social issues, but I think we're pretty far apart on foreign policy.  (that alone probably explains the difference between 56 and 60 on the ACU score, but that difference may manifest itself in a slightly greater way on the ACLU scorecard).

Take a look at these:

I agree with the ACLU only on oposing the new FCC rules.  everything else, I disagreed.

I must admit I'm a little surprised.  There are a couple I'm undecided about, but the main one I know I'm in total disagreement with the ACLU on is Reporting on Guantanamo Bay Detainees.  I also disagree with the ACLU's position on #5, not because I want to see such an amendment pass, as I do not, but because forcing a vote is the proper thing to do.

I had predicted we'd be on different sides on number 2.

Oops, I emant disagree.  Heh.  I disagree on everything except FCC rules.

Not even travel to Cuba?  That's not a very business-friendly attitude.  Free exchange of ideas and all that.  What has happened to the grand ole party?

Good for business, bad for Colombian civilians.

Any capital that flows to Cuba could well end up in the hands of FARC.  Sort of like sanctions apparently crippled Saddam's WMD, sanctions on Cuba dramatically reduce the capital available to Cuba to fund groups like FARC.
