Lot of my friends have been there and they act like they went to Colorado or some sh*t.  Which I really don't get, considering that the only act I remember anybody mentioning from the place was Yakov Smirnoff.

By the way, what kind of act does he do now?  "In America you buy stocks, in Putinist Russia stocks buy you!"?

Another fairly interesting thing about Branson is that it has a per capita crime rate comparable to that of Camden, though this is common in tourist heavy areas because the actual population is much lower than people there, and the per capita is driven up. I think the highest crime city in New Jersey isn't Camden, Newark or East Orange, but rather than the tourism heavy Ocean City for that reason as well.
