I urge this body to vote in the affirmative.  Indeed, the stimulus-era "Cash for Clunkers" program was very successful - so much so that the program was refunded .  I am happy to see legislation being pursued by this administration that will improve our fuel economy and put safer, cleaner and more fuel-efficient vehicles on the roadways.

Marokai, thanks for calling me out. I missed the cap on funds and the eight year limit. You're right to be disappointed in me for not being around lately, but I haven't really had a say in the matter. I apologize for not abstaining when I probably should've... it's obvious I didn't have the time or the resources to read things all the way through. I wanted to do something more productive than just abstain, but it blew up in my face.
