there are currently 6! on the table.

Tpo make it easier, all maps must now say if they are:

a) Political
b) Miscellanious non-Political Pattern.

My third is catergory b).

Jake-senators from each state? I'm not sure if they are junior or senior senators, though.

Ernest-population based, I presume. Maybe red are states with EVs rounded up, Blue are rounded down, and grey are given what they have only because it's the law?

@ Ernest: That shape makes me think part of it might be related to the Louisiana Purchase.

I am probably making this up.

Here's a political pattern (BTW the >70% shade should stands for >80% and >80% shade stands for >90%)

For my own record-keeping:

Currently on the table:

Hughento's Third

Erc's

Harry's

nclib's Second

Ernest's

King's

nini2287's.

In the interest of expediting this, I will withdraw mine if no-one gets it by sometime tomorrow afternoon.

My map, again:

Another hint:  The map encompasses information from 1836 to 2004.  No pre-1836 elections [that arbitrary date picked on purpose to make it a tie, sorry about that]

Something to do with a combination of the 1896 and 1900 election results?

Another quick and easy one from me:

It's a color-based one again, and this time red and blue do not correspond with Democratic and Republican.

Does is have something to do with how many times the leftist party has one the state versus the rightist party.

It does have something to do with EV's but nothing to do with rounding.  Your grey observation isn't quite on target either, as Vermont is red yet it had less population than Alaska in 2000.

wild, off the top of my head guess.

All the red states have had Presidents; the bluw ones have had VPs but no presidents, and the grey ones have had neither?

Lewis' Second One:

Each Letter is assigned a year.

A = 2004
B = 2000
C = 1996
...
W = 1916

Each state displays its results from the year corresponding to the first letter in its name (e.g. Colorado has the R +40 result from 1996).
Yes, that's right.

I know there's no room on the table right now, so I'm placing this one right by the doormat.

It's a political map, based on actual Popular Vote.
Also: How the hell could this happen in real life?

Edit: Corrected coding error in Minnesota. Ignore the CD's.
