Ron Paul Campaign Schedule: October 3-9

Debate Question:

I have been a strong critic of the Federal Reserve, and the people are waking up to the danger of a central banking system. Over the past 100 years of the Federal Reserve, our currency has only lost value. Anyone who agrees with a free market should believe in eliminating the Federal Reserve. We must  enable America to return to the type of monetary system envisioned by our Nation's founders: one where the value of money is consistent because it is tied to a commodity such as gold. When you look at the price of gold next to oil, the prices have stayed consistent. The problem is an unaudited bank, causing artificially low interest rates, high inflation and manipulation of currency. We must END THE FED!

Ron Paul debate answer:
When it comes to China, we should open up the markets and let the markets decide what goes in and out of China. However, we should no longer give tax breaks to companies that send jobs overseas. We should also work here at home to bring our economy back so that we no longer have to be in debt to China. The Chinese currently holds much of our debt, and treasury notes. If they ever call on us to pay back those debts, we will be in big trouble if the economy keeps going the way it is.

Ron Paul Debate Answer:
The Federal Government should not be in the business of healthcare. It is not allowed for in the Constitution. If the states want to have it that's their right, but it's not for the federal government. When I started out in the medical field, we didn't have any government assistance programs. I worked at a Catholic hospital, and guess what? No one was EVER turned away! Once the government got involved in medicine, the costs went up and the availability went down. More Government is not the answer.

Ron Paul Debate Answer:
How would I deal with Israel and Palestine? I would let them deal with each other! It is no business of ours to challenge the sovereignty of Israel! Netanyahu has come before congress and said that we don't need to build up Israel! They are doing great, without our help! We should stop giving all these countries around the world foreign aid! Our people are struggling her at home, while we give money to countries that are our enemies, or do not need foreign aid! We cannot afford to be giving out money to every country that asks! That's Welfare! Something Republicans are normally against! So we should protect the wishes of Israel, let them be and deal with their own problems, while we deal with ours.

Reply to Mitt Romney's withdrawal:
I am sad about the reason for Gov. Romney's departure from the race. While he and I do not always agree on policy, he is a good man and I respect him. I wish him and his family well as they go through this very difficult time.

Reply to Ayotte's entrance:
I welcome Sen. Ayotte to the race, and wish her well. I hope that we can keep everything focused on the issues, and not have a negative campaign that hurts everyone.

Ron Paul debate answer:
When it comes to the debt, the answer is downsizing the government and actually cutting spending, not cutting future increases in spending. That is one big problem, BASELINE BUDGETING. These cuts in Washington aren't really cuts. The answer is not to raise taxes, but cutting departments, cutting entitlement spending, and excessive and wasteful military spending. We have such partisanship in Washington, the democrats say you can't cut a penny of entitlement spending, and republicans say you can't cut any military spending! We need to be smart with our money. In my plan you can see on my website, I will cut 1 TRILLION dollars each year I am in office. We are on a bankruptcy course, and we can't continue the way we are going.

In my experience as a doctor, it is of my opinion that life begins at conception and that all life is sacred. The problem is the federal government has gotten too involved in medicine and the Supreme Court over stepped it's bounds with Roe Vs Wade. Abortion laws should be left up to the states, just like all other violent crimes.

Ron Paul tv and radio ad bomb in all 50 states:

Tired of these silly politicians playing games? Tired of broken promises, lies and playing the political game? This time you have a choice, a choice for president that does not play by the political rules, one who stands up for the constitution, and economic prosperity for all. Free trade and lower taxes, less government and no more political games. He's got the record to prove it. Vote for Ron Paul, never voted for a tax increase, never voted to raise the debt ceiling.

Ron Paul Campaign Statement:
The Ron Paul campaign is appalled by the constant negative ads run by our opponents, and find it disgraceful to the electoral process. Instead of attacking others, take a honorable stand and promote your own record, and if you can not promote your own record, then perhaps you should not be in this race at all. The Ron Paul campaign stands by less government and Ron Paul has never voted for a tax hike, and if that is the man you want, Ron Paul is your Man. A man of principle who stands by his record.

Debate Answer:
Absolutely not! Here we are broke and on a bankruptcy course, and what do we want to do? Print more money! Spend more money! The best thing we can do for the EU is become fiscally responsible ourselves, get out of debt and bring the economy back before we can even think of sending any money anywhere!

Ron Paul Debate Answer:
I am firmly against affirmative action, it doesn't promote individual motivation, it puts people in to groups based on where they come from, or what they look like. That sounds more discriminatory than what we had before! We need to eliminate affirmative action programs, what matters is each individual, not groups of people. You hire the person best suited for the job, not because of their race, but because of what they have accomplished, rather than filling a quota that is required by the government. This only hurts businesses, and qualified people looking for a job, or education.

Today I mark the end of my campaign, it has been a good run. (Boos from audience) the Republican Party has lost it's way, and I fear that there is no turning back. But there is a voice of liberty! There is a man who is ready to take up the Revolution! I ask you to support Jesse Ventura, the independent! He has stood for liberty and freedom! He has my vote! We just marched in, we can just march out, so do it if you're serious Mr. President! Ventura is the man who WILL bring the troops home, He's the only candidate with military experience. Ron Paul (Ventura Surrogate) Response to President Obama's Address:

Speech in Nevada:
"This evening you heard the President speak on how he wants to help the American people, and how he is promoting the Stimulus bill, and how he wants you to call your congressmen and senators to vote for this "American Jobs Act" just more endless spending. The president in 2008 promised lower deficits and a restored American economy. But I ask where is this restored American economy? Where are the lower deficits? Deficits have only increased during this administration! The economy is barely better than it was 4 years ago! These failed Keynesian economic policies that got us in to this mess have only continued under this administration! Now the president wishes to spend even more money, where will that money come from? We keep borrowing money and printing money, and we wonder why the economy has gotten worse? Prices of goods have skyrocketed! It's the endless printing of money!

(Holds up $1 dollar bill) This piece of paper has value only if you believe the government telling you it has value. (Holds up silver dollar) This dollar is backed by something! It's not the prices going up on goods! It's the dollar losing value! If you look at the price of Oil next to Silver or Gold, prices have remained consistent! We need to end the federal reserve printing all this money! Inflation is going up and wages remain the same! We need a consistent, solid monetary policy to bring the economy back! We need to end the Fed! (Cheers) We must get our finances in order before we go bankrupt! We need an economy where businesses and people can thrive!  I ask the those going to caucus here in Nevada for either party vote for me to show the establishment we mean business! Vote for myself in the Caucus, and then vote Ventura in November! (Massive applause and cheers)
