Protestant identifying Atheist (voted Protestant). I specifically identify with the Untied Church of Canada.

Do you identify as Christian?

Yes, a Christian Atheist. Cheesy

Interesting.  Does being a Christian mean Christ as a moral ideal for you or is it something else?

Partly, at least all the social justice bits.  I do like the teachings of the UCC, and see no problem going to church but not believing in God.

Christian-Other

I see Pentacostals as a third or even fourth distinctive Christian sect after Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant.

So as late-comers like Mormons? Tongue

Mormons should be classified in their own category as they are a different religion.

Are you not aware that it's spelled Pentecostal?

You must have mistyped that - Mormons are most certainly Christians.

Agnostic. I don't follow any religion, but I think it's impossible to know for sure whether or not God exists.

Pretty much my view, so I'm going to do as MY conscience dictates.

Talking of Pentecostals, the local phonebook had put the local pentecostal church under the category "Churches - Islam", which is very wierd for various reasons.

I don't care about religion at all. I guess that makes me an atheist, but I just don't care.

I identify my religion as Judaism, not because I practice the religion, but out of a general belief that "my ancestors were clearly right". Which I believe has its own name.

Atheist Prebysterian. Overly focused on sin and redemption. In my intellectual life however, I find myself increasing annoyed at anything that I will broadly describe as 'metaphysics'. So perhaps I'm a logical-positivist Atheist Calvinist (and not, despite some ancestry, a low church Anglican. Lord no).

I agree.  I've thought for some time that the label "Christianity" encompasses a whole bunch of religions that are very distinct.  Catholic, Lutheran, Mormon, Pentecostal, Jehovah's Witness, Calvinist, etc., are really distinct religions.  Even within those labels, you could argue that there are different religions.  For example, Eastern Rite Catholicism is distinct from Roman Catholicism; Evangelical Lutheran is distinct from Missouri Synod Lutheran, etc.

How do we define religion?  By code, creed, and cult?  If so, then there are many different religions described by the label "Christianity."
