Great overview of this idea. I'll believe it when I see it, could well be he's doing headline-worthy stuff for its own sake. Should stay out with the possible exception of the unlikely scenario Shaheen pulls a Baucus and abruptly retires.

I hope he runs. I really do.

This would be a bigger disaster than Guinta.

What a joke.

BTW, has a person ever represented two different States in the US Senate? I could see this happening in the early 19th, when the country was still populating itself and new States were created every couple years, but I'm not sure.

James Shields served as Senator for three different states:

Illinois, from October 1849 to March 1855.  He missed the first few months of the six-year term as he had not been a citizen for the requisite nine years---he had to run in a special election to replace himself after his original election was voided.

Minnesota, from May 1858 (statehood) to March 1859.

Missouri, from January to March 1879 (elected to replace a deceased Senator for the remainder of his term).

There are a few others who have represented two different states.

Pretty impressive, yeah. Cheesy

So did this ever happen in the 20th century?

It continues, this time by taking a shot at Shaheen on Obamacare and taxes. Still says he doesn't know what he's doing.

"I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do." For now I'm filing this under headline-grabbing.

Scott Brown has registered a new PAC in New Hampshire. Gotta love the name

How satisfying would it be to defeat Scott Brown in two separate Senate races in the span of 2 years?

Does he not know how Bill Weld completely destroyed his career?

This is just headline grabbing. If he really wanted back in he'd have gone for the rematch with Coakley.

This is my thinking too. I think he's using this as a smokescreen for 2016.

By wanting to become Ambassador to Mexico?

How was he supposed to know just how evil Jesse Helms was?

But I think that was in reference to Weld's failed 2006 New York gubernatorial bid when the NY Republican Party more or less turned on him in favor of John Faso.

Well that, and running for Governor in New York.

Apparently the NRSC wants him to run too. This is insane. All Shaheen has to repeat is "carpetbagging loser" ad infinitum.

Well it's not like they have any better options.

This race will be an epic battle, should we lose Shaheen, the goal is to keep 51 senators. Best bet is holding on MnT with Walsh.

I think he's building publicity for a run in 2016, but if he does, it's Likely D. We don't feel like giving up our Senate seat to Massachusetts, or any other state for a matter of fact.

Plus the fact that Brown has to win 75% of undecideds to win. The fact that NH has a strong independent streak and someone who isn't even from here is the other candidate shows how ridiculous it is.

Oh my god...are you kidding me? I mean, the notion of a Brown candidacy in NH is basically the kind of political fodder you use if you're a blogger looking for a couple what-if scenarios and some views. Kind of like a Ben Carson 2016 candidacy or a Rick Santorum 2016 candidacy. I honestly do not see this situation occurring, and if he were to enter, I'd give him a 0% chance of winning.

If he did run I could see attack ads calling his campaign "the Scott Brown campaign for Massachusett's third senate seat"
