Well it is Wednesday. There have been no suggestions on changes to the proposed platform, so each section now comes up to a vote. I am also going to have a new poll on endorsements for the election races since the turnout was so appalling last time:

For the endorsements you have the options of naming a candidate, voting to remain neutral, or voting to endorse NOTA. [Abstain will be counted as a vote to remain neutral]

President/VP:
District 1:

Actually on second thought I'd like to change that to NOTA, I'll edit it.

Gay Marriage
Aye.

Death Penalty - have to split this vote up, I'm afraid:
"The Progressive Caucus condemns the practice of executing juvenile criminals as regressive."
Aye.
"We oppose the practice of the death penalty in the majority of cases and would only support in cases of terrorism, treason and serial murder."
Since the Atlas Feds have abolished the Death Penalty and they would be the one in charge in cases of terrorism and treason, this clause is regressive. Nay.
"We call for reform of the system that will require stricter standards of evidence and more capacity for Appeals courts to conduct actual innocence review in addition to the procedural reviews."
Aye.

School Prayer
Aye.

Sex Education and Contraception in Schools
Aye.

Media Regulation
Aye.

Taxation
Aye.

Education
Aye.

The Pledge of Allegiance
Neutral.

Environment
Aye.

Pornography
Aye.

(I'm supposing these supersede the votes on the Forum, so I have to vote again?)
President/VP: Lewis/TD
D1: Neutral
D2: write-in Akno, 2pref MAS
D3: Nym
D4: Neutral (I personally endorse States though)

Thats fine, I'm not bothered about editting in this particular setting.

Aye to all ten platform planks.

D1: Remain Neutral (Whilst I personally endorse Colin, he isn't "Progressive" enough for the Caucus to endorse imo)

I would like to encourage all Progressive Caucus members (and anybody else particularly interested) to sign up for the Progressive Caucus newsletter because it makes it much easier for me to get in contact with you.
