Hash is a liberal. He tends to lean or default towards the left rather than the right, more out of a strong distaste for social conservatism than anything else. He's even more cynical than most about mainstream politicians and political movements, and unlike a lot of people with his views he's a full-throated regionalist and decentralist. This last is probably mostly influenced by his personal background, which if memory serves is Breton.

Nathan is a Christian Leftist who is also very firm in his beliefs, but incredibly reasonable at the same time. I love his approach to issues, and he is always looking for an honest debate instead of just screaming talking points like so many of us (like myself) do.
