A conservative with libertarian-leanings on some social issues. He also seems to like random under appreciated old politicians, such as McKinley and Polk.

A pretty typical left-winger, although he's more left-wing on economic issues than social issues. I also think he's somewhat hawkish on foreign policy, although I could be remembering wrong.
