Alma Adams is introducing legislation to expedite the special election timeframe.

Butterfield and Price are also blasting McCrory over the 300-ish day vacancy of this seat.

Believe it or not, Republicans actually have a decent candidate here. Charlotte TV news personality Vince Coakley is running.

He has good name rec in Charlotte, though I never knew he was so involved with conservative causes.

Edit: Wow, yeah. Look at any of his Youtube videos. He's a few notches down from being the black version of Greg Brannon.
