I don't believe masturbation is immoral.

If it is, every man on the planet will go to hell, because every man does it, even men who are married or in committed relationships where they're getting regular sex.

Men have a physical need for periodic sexual release, and masturbation is one way to accomplish this.  And for a man who's not ready for a committed relationship, or the possible responsibilities of fatherhood, it's a hell of a lot better than getting a bunch of girls pregnant.

I'm not sure why anybody would find masturbation immoral.  I think it's immoral to create another life when you are unable to care for it properly, but masturbation does not do this.

As long as you don't open your coat in a park and do it in front of little kids, I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Question for me is 2-3 times a day immoral?  Or how many times before I get "blue balls?"

Whacking off doesn't give you blue balls, man.  Blue balls come from continued sexual excitement without release.  In other words, if you were getting woodies for a long time without release, that would lead to blue balls.  Masturbation prevents blue balls.

Have fun.

This is a major problem I get at work.

Dude, if you're getting blue balls at work, you must either (a) be working with a bunch of unbelievably attractive women; or (b) need to get laid a lot more often.  Probably (b).

Man, you're really making me laugh tonight.  It's great to be 21 and have a flag that salutes almost anything on a moment's notice.

What's really funny is when you have a woody that won't go down, and you need to get up and walk around for some reason.  It's not so noticeable when a guy is sitting, but it becomes painfully obvious when he gets up.  This happened to me not too long ago on the train on the way to work.  An attractive woman sat near me, and I got a woody that would not go down.  The train arrived at its destination, and I had to get up.  Luckily, it went down right before that.  Ah, the pitfalls of being a man.

the biggest problem isn't coworkers, it's just thinking. I have to try really hard to keep my mind off sex at work.

Take care of your "needs" in the morning before you leave for work.  Aren't you worried that thinking about things other than work too much could affect your job performance?

I'm a typist, I just have to type stuff off orders I get.

Well, I guess as long as you're sitting, it doesn't really matter.  This whole discussion is pretty funny.  We all have these issues - why should it be so taboo to talk about it?

The women where I work are very unattractive.  YDA fundraisers and Meetups have some very attractive women plus the added bonus they're liberal Democrats.  Ironically, I don't get that way at Clubs and bars.  I guess women are more attractive when they can actually talk and say something intelligent instead of screaming to their friends.  This is part of the reason I'd much rather sleep with Flavia Colgan than Jessica Simpson.

Well, you can talk to the women at the fundraisers, plus you know you have something in common with them.  I hate clubs because you can't even talk to anybody there.

I think you should do Ann Coulter, though.  Why limit yourself to liberal Democrats?

Good point.  I never believed that lusting was sinful.  What a person does with lust might be sinful, but lust is part of life.  You couldn't avoid it if you wanted to.

[

That makes doing it kind of difficult to begin with.

The only way I can see it being acceptable to fundies is if you're fantasizing about your wife, meaning that according to them if you're unmarried you're not supposed to do anything sexual ever. That's basically hell anyway.

I think I have a more nuanced view of sex than you do.

I think it would be very difficult in this day and age, when we mature earlier and marry later by necessity, to have absolutely no sexual activity outside of marriage, including masturbation.  This would be virtually impossible for any type of normal person.

But I also see the point that stricter Christians make about the destructiveness of uncontrolled sex.  I don't think this should just be dismissed.

I look at sex like fire and water.  Use them properly and control them, and they will enhance your life greatly.  Allow them to get out of control, and they bring untold misery.  Sex is a lot like that, and the "fundies" as you call them want people to control their sexual urges.  It is basically a positive thing, but we also have to be realistic about the human body, especially the male body.

So does Hillary Clinton.  Would that stop you from doing her?

I'm sorry, but hardcore leftist girls aren't that hot. A lot of them are kind of weird and stuff.. feminists are bad news.

Crazy Republican girls are the best... particularly when they make out with each other. Somehow that happened in my apt. a couple weeks ago, have to figure out a way to repeat.

I agree with you.  Left-wing women usually harbor resentment toward men that will come out in one way or another.  Their whole philosophy is based on the notion that men have abused and oppressed them for centuries - deep down, how could they really like us?

Conservative women, in my experience, generally have much healthier relationships with men because their conservatism is free of doctrinaire resentment toward men.  That is my opinion anyway.

I also don't want a political crossfire in a relationship.  During one of the few times I was actually forced to go to Mass becasue I just wanted to avoid an argument, there was actually a very attractive girl speaking at the end of (Catholic) Mass for about 25 minutes regarding (you'll love this KPhil) Generation Life.  She was about 2-3 years younger than me and a gorgeous brunette from LaSalle University.  Needless to say I though she was a priss, amde sarcastic remarks in my head the whoel time and didn't agree with a word she said.

You should open your mind a little bit...

have you ever had a personal experience that left you with that impression, or are you simply playing by old, tired stereotypes?

No, I speak from experience.  Of course, this is a generalization, but left-wing women seem to take everything that involves a man as a challenge.  They are so convinced that if they give a man his way on anything, they are extending the terrible oppression of their foremothers...it's really a very sad philosophy.

Personally, I never saw oppression of women in my family, and my mother, grandmother, etc. were not exactly feminists, to put it mildly.  Their view was that the role of women was different than men, and they didn't try to be men, but they sure as hell didn't think of themselves as inferior, and if anything, they had more power around the house than the men did.  And these were conservative, anti-feminist women.  So I find this whole "thousand years of patriarchy" garbage that is spewed out by the feminists a little hard to swallow.

Considering you can't be a Communist female without being a feminist, it's pretty clear I want a piece of ass from hot armed and militant left wing feminists.

Wake up.  Women were more exploited under communism than they ever were in this country.  You really don't have much of a grip on the realities of communism.

It sounds like you really just want a dominatrix, regardless of politics.  You should watch "A View to a Kill" the James Bond movie made in 1985 that featured Grace Jones as a dominatrix that James Bonds has sex with.  That's the type of thing you need.  Maybe you should get some "equipment" and invite one of these women over to your bachelor pad...

Actually one of the main reasons the Communists in Nepal have so much support from the female population is they are opposed to many fuedal misogynist traditions. I really doubt the rebels in South America and the Phillipines are a big fan of such things either or anti-equality.

Might I add that in Poland under the communist regime women had free and completely access to abortion and birth control. That is no longer the case.

In Romania, they weren't allowed abortion at all.  Communism has nothing to do with feminism.  Equality for women is part of the communist doctrine, but like most aspects of the communist doctrine, it is a lie.

In any case, I don't equate availability of abortion with equality for women.  You have been brainwashed by the feminazis if that's how you define equality.

I could go for a moderate SE Penn/New Jersey/New York Republican very easily.  The difference is this girl was such a priss and so hands off sexually I don't think anything could have happened between us.

Yeah, imagine that you might acctually start seeing the person and not the vagina, or, more correctly, imagining the pleasure that you would get from that vagina.  Wouldn't that just be the worst thing in the world?[/sarcasm]

I agree with Supersoulty.  You can't look at every woman simply as a potential receptacle for your penis.  Talk about exploitation of women.  If she's a respectable woman with a strong sense of self, she'll run from a guy like you, Flyers.

Let's call a spade a spade.  You are interested in women simply for sex.  Choose your women accordingly, but don't bring politics into it.

And let's drop this communist crap.  It's ruining a hilarious thread.

My point regarding her was our political ideologies and "talk down nanny-like" of a personality would create a virtual mess of a relationship with this girl in a relationship if I were to ever get into one with her.  This girl was VERY attractive, but a relationship lasting longer than the time it takes for my semen to release after sex is just not happening.  I can not say the same about every woman.

I guess you're right.  Originally, I thought you didn't want to pursue anything with her because you didn't think she'd let you in her pants immediately.

Well, hope that made sense.  This was just a girl the pastor found to speak at the end of a Mass I rarely go to tell us about the "joys of the pro-life movement."  I was saying she's just an attractive girl, but her personality is not something I can be a fan of.

You could be allowing your disagreement with her message affect your perception of her personality.  Not that I'm criticizing you for doing that - I do it all the time - but that could be the case.

Easy... have a weird fetish like a stuffed animal one.  Then you can fantasize all you want about making love with it.

Man, you are strange.  Whatever floats your boat, dude.  Just don't give away a sticky stuffed animal to some children's toy drive...

Can you give a real life example, if you made up the stuffed animal thing?

Women like sex, too, you know.

I am well aware of that.  But most women approach sex from a different angle than men.  Let's not ruin a light-hearted thread with ponderous political points.  I'd like to keep it at a locker room level...

No, I didn't make it up.  People have all sort of odd fetishes.  I know someone with a diaper fetish.  And someone with a foot fetish.  Just looking at his own feet, or someone's shoes and socks is enough to excite him to the point of relieving himself.

Well, that's true.  The human mind is a wondrous thing.  It has actually been said that every part of the body is sexual in some way, and I think that's true.  I have a bit of a foot fetish myself.  I consider feet very sexy, but I wouldn't say I lust after feet...

Would you consider that weirder or not for my fetish with women carrying rifles wearing hammer and sickle covered fatigues?

I still think you're just looking for a dominatrix.  The hammer and sickle is a superficial insertion of your political views, but that's not important.  You want a woman who is going to dominate you.

You guys have ruined a great thread with all this arguing over communism in Afghanistan.  What does that have to do with choking the chicken (or bopping the baloney, etc.).

How many euphemisms can we come up with for the act of sexual self-stimulation.  I just came up with two.

I certainly do do it, but it is not something I am really proud of.  It is more like simply serving a raw human desire that, if I were a better person, I would be able to control.

Dude, nobody can control it.  That's one area where I don't agree with the Catholic Church, trying to lay guilt on people for necessarily body functions.  You might as well feel guilty about needing to take a piss.
