my views when I entered high school:

-pro-life
-pro-death penalty
-generally pretty hawkish
-didn't know much about free trade
-anti-drug legalization/decriminalization
-pro-gay marriage
-anti-censorship of sex and violence
-I did not like Clinton much UNTIL the Lewinsky scandal. Then I loved him. Get the picture?
-pro-birth control and its distribution in schools
-pro-minors having sex (of course this is because I was a minor!)
-very much anti-religion in public schools, probably to the level opebo is now
-pro-prostitution legalization
-pro-lower taxes but only for everyone, even back then I was against lowering taxes for the rich
-anti-affirmative action
-staunchly anti-Communist
-anti-gun control
-anti-welfare and government handout programs, although I was in favor of most government provided things that are now, like public education

I dont see anything extreme here. Actually you were fairly close to my views.

So what happened?

BTRD,

your views probably just evolved over time. Mine have, considerably. At one point I was fairly populist....

Except for gay marriage, those views were pretty moderate.

But if you really believe in your views, you don't allow others to control them, even in a negative way.
