You're a moderator, man.  

It's like asking a bunch of public school students to vote on whether the principal is a dick.  He may be the most gregarious, fairest, most enlightened principal in the world, but he's still the principal.  The day you became a moderator was like the day that a union worker becomes middle management material.  You can't just sit down at the table with all the workers and expect them to treat you the way that they did before you went up for middle management.  Your bald spot used to be cute; now it's hideous.  Your little Hitler mustache was previously endearing; now it only serves to remind us of your fascism.  We used to think that those little round glasses you wore made you look like Harry Potter; now we think they make you look like Leon Trotsky.  The little white pussycat you carry around with you once made us think of what a nurturing, caring personality you have; now it just reminds us of what a weirdo you are.  After all, it's just Like Martin Luther King used to say, "why would a grown man need to carry a cat around in his purse all day?"

Ah, well.  I still give you the FF grade.

I concur here. I've had my share of spars with Gustaf (mostly on the IRC), but I can't bring myself to actually dislike him personally.

Even though we disagree some times (though in recent years upon reflection and study I've grown to agree with more), I really do like Gustaf and think he is an excellent addition to the forum.

Thanks for the kind words to those who offered them. I'm glad that some of the many people on here I do have a lot of respect for and whose opinions I value highly have somewhat similar feelings in return.

(Averroës seem to have understood one of the principles I operate under, so I'm glad it got through to someone )
