No, it was political expediency. Running as an independent was the only way for him to win at that point.

A few tidbits:

There could be a jump in absentee ballots in Broward which is a big dem South Florida county, good news for Crist.

ALSO, not sure if it means anything but i've already received two calls(one from Equality Florida and another from Next Gen) asking if I've mailed in my ballot yet. Both groups are aligned with Crist so it seems like they're ramping up GOTV operations.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and edit my predictions. Stuff like this matters in close races, that clip is gonna get played over and over again (rightfully so).

Scott is a terrible politician who has no business being in office. It's still amazing he managed to get himself re-elected but I guess only in a year like 2010 could get him into office.
