Jolly in. Announcement next week.
Just saw it on Politico's Twitter feed; his new wife is only 27 and is supposedly viewed by Peter Schorsch as a great campaign asset.

Interesting clash between Susannah Randolph (Grayson's district director and wife of Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph) and State Sen. Darren Soto seems to be brewing in the Democratic primary for FL-09.

Don't forget Grayson's girlfriend too! I expect popcorn sales to soar across the Orlando Metro Area as the primary nears.

WTF. Didn't he just become a congressman a few months ago? What an idiot.

Court-mandated redraw of district lines means he'd near-certainly have to run in a D-heavy district (in a Presidential year, no less). He's currently leading in the primary polls, and even if he loses, this sets him up a lot better for 2018 (with five statewide offices on the ballot) than losing re-election this year does.

Word on the street is that Chuck E. Cheese may run for Congress in St. Petersburg after the rererereredistricting is complete, as Saint Pete's district may end up being a little more friendly to Democrats.

You beat me to it. His Facebook announcement still says its a maybe, though.

"If the new Congressional map includes my home, I intend on running to serve the people again."

The Court has made it all but certain that the new FL-13 will include his home.

Shouldn't most of the content on this thread since the court announcement on the map be on the Congressional board?

This opportunist will take any opportunity he can get. Hopefully the voters reject this career politician, though I highly doubt it.

Actually, it was a little over a year ago. By the time of the election it will be three years though.

If you lose three times in your state, just run in a Democratic district!

I think this guy wins the prize for going to Congress as a consolation for losing statewide four times.

I wouldn't say he's far-right, at least not compared to other CA GOP delegation members, but he did relatively well in all of his statewide races in California and hasn't switched parties like 15 times.

California Congressional delegation (at least - it's GOP part) was very polarized recently, so vast majority of it belonged (and still belongs) to far right camp (hope "top 2" system will gradually change that). And McClintock lost 4 statewide races and 1 district race (CA-24) - not stellar result. About parties - i am not a party man myself, so i really don't care about that...

I have no trust at least in Florida dems.

So I'm sure they will  up again and nominate Grayson.
