What the Florida Democrats need is to recruit Big City Mayors to run for statewide office in the future.

Dem State Legislators aren't gonna cut it.

Here we go.

The FL Legislature illegally favored the Republicans in redistricting and must be redrawn, acc'd to a Circuit Court judge. An appeal to the FL Supreme Court will likely mean it doesn't take effect until after the 2014 elections.

Are you kidding? That is a really, really good one. It sends the message home to the average apolitical, undecided voter that Crist is only here to advance himself (as is Scott, but he at least hides it).

"And you still got a great four years." It's just not a well-thought-out ad.

As a side note, the Crist campaign is up with their first TV ad, Sunshine. Attention whoring, but I'm at around 20 seconds on the right in the blue shirt.

Darren Soto is my favorite of those options, with Val Demings a close second.

But A. it doesn't matter, and B. he's gonna pick Gelber.

So he's already decided to pick him as LG ?

I thought he would pick either an African American or Latino state legislator as LG.

Rich should just pay to rerun Crists 2010 Senate primary ad where he called himself a "reagan conservative" http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/crist-florida-governor-rubio/2010/02/08/id/349315/

I haven't seen the actual poll but according to WFLA twitter Crist has opened a 6% lead. Keep in mind the last time WFLA polled- around July 8th- Scott led 45-43 which was taken just before Crist aired his first ad.

The SUSA poll of this race has always been swingy for seemingly no reason. But the fact that people were using Scott's 1 point lead in it to predict Crist's demise was pretty amusing.
