On a similar note, didn't Alex Sink do something sketchy in one of the 2010 debates (involving a cell phone), which allegedly made a difference in the end?

Blame for this is being placed on Brett O'Donnell, previously known as "Michele Bachmann's Rasputin".

Sunshine State News is a fairly right-wing news service and even they're attacking Scott over this.

Here's the CSPAN recording of the debate: http://www.c-span.org/video/?322054-1/florida-governors-debate

The five minutes or so with just Crist on the stage is so, SO good.

LOL, looks like the criminal isn't thinking straight. He must be scared of the eminent thrashing that awaits him in 20 short days. Criminals do not get through Checkpoint Charlie!

Maybe Scott can ask Crist to borrow his fan to cool down his bum after the long, hard spanking Crist gives it in November.

Fatal mistake in such a close race, I'm predicting a 49-45 win for Crist.

Rick Scott has refused to show up at the debate because there was a fan on stage.

What kind of fan are we talking about?

Scott really, really screwed up. He should have come up, apologized for the delay, and then make a snarky comment about Charlie not being able to stand the heat. It would have been great. Instead...this happened.

Yep. Over a little fan more or less like that.

LOL, looks like the criminal isn't thinking straight. He must be scared of the eminent thrashing that awaits him in 20 short days. Criminals do not get through Checkpoint Charlie!
He got thrashed. I'll give you that. But then again, Romney thrashed Obama only to lose two more debates. So Scott *still* can overcome this. But this is going to haunt him until the very end.

Fatal mistake in such a close race, I'm predicting a 49-45 win for Crist.
Shut up.

And maybe the election. I am changing my prediction from 49.9% Scott/49.5ish Crist to 50-49% Crist to Scott. This was dreadful.

While Scott shouldn't have thrown a hissy fit, let's not lose sight of the fact that diva Charlie needed a fan at his legs.

I don't know why Voldemort was worried about the fan. It's not like it could've ruined his hair.

I can't even begin to defend Scott on that move. That was just bad. Really, really bad.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and edit my predictions. Stuff like this matters in close races, that clip is gonna get played over and over again (rightfully so).
It isn't over yet, but...this was just...ugh.

It's his trademark, but if the agreement-which the moderators insisted upon keep in mind-was followed, the fan would have been removed. Charlie was a douche to begin with, but he got the reaction he wanted. Props to Charlie for a smart, borderline Nixonian move.

Orangeman needs to keep cool. He can't stand the heat.

It was 90 degrees with 93% humidity where the debate was today. Dude sweats. Get over it. Y'all, like Charlie, need to chill

Correct and last time I checked, no one else that had to deal with the heat demanded a small electric fan. It's not a huge deal but it's still so damn diva-ish.

No one at the debate cared. The Criminal will get a good dose of welts on November 4th.

Your not funny. And trust me, I'm not butthurt. Lief and IceSpear are bringing a smile to my face (an awkward, ugh type of smile, but a smile none the less), but your just a bandwagon idiot. Try stealing some new jokes. Perhaps "dominating?"

The moderators tried to get him to remove the fan. He argued. They had bigger fish to fry with Scott's hissy fit, but Charlie should have removed the damn fan. He would have embarrased Scott even more had he done so.

And yeah, Orangeman is a huge diva. I have a relative who dated him back in the early 1990s who can attest to the fact (yes, I know this is empirical snarkiness from me, but that is what the whole post debate point of this thread has been anyway).
