Is Grayson really running?
I have the feeling all he wants is 1) attention and 2) getting some spots in the house.

Special state Senate and House election here, and (as unsurprising as it seems), Republicans won both in landslides. More precincts are reporting, but there's not enough votes to overcome the deficits that the Democrats are facing.

My uncle (who works as a trucker) gets a kick out of the Travis Hudson "bonafide conservative" signs he sees on a daily basis.

Florida House literally ends session because they and the Senate can't agree on a budget.

The one good thing about this is that an anti-trans bill didn't get to the floor because they ended the session early.

All in all, I think we've got a pretty good government Wink.

Obviously, I mean who doesn't like a legislature like ours. More dysfunctional than D.C. = more likable for me.

Ausley, former rep from HD9 (lost against Atwater in 2010) is running for her old seat again

This was looking like a possible Republican gain in the House, but she's very popular in the area, as you can see in the 2010 map where she lost to Atwater in a landslide.

Still up! Gaetz has taken fire from Latvala over it, and Crisafulli had to send out a tweet calling Gaetz "an agitator, but not a racist".

For whatever it's worth, the Governor is calling on the Legislature to stay until a budget is passed. The Senate is already discussing convening a special session to do that, while the House is not interested in either of those options. The Democrats, meanwhile, are suing the House for ending early.

So, who will win in Jacksonville tonight?

I believe Brown will win with a slightly larger margin than 2011, but anything can happen.

So does Dan Bongino, the guy who almost won in MD-6.

That fella seems uniquely clownish.

^ He's a good campaigner, from what I've gathered. He's very conservative, though (sometimes he fills in for Mark Levin) , and there's the obvious carpetbagging

Jane Castor, Tampa's first female and first openly LGBT police chief, has changed her registration to Democratic. Could be an interesting mayoral candidate a few years down the road.

Republican.

Also, Mary Mulhern, a former member of the Tampa City Council, is considering running in FL-13. She would be the third Tampa-based candidate Dems have attempted to run in FL-13 in as many years. Like the previous two, she will not win.

Has there been any movement on a referendum to move gubernatorial elections to presidential years? I heard about it back in december.

All's been quiet on that measure since then. There's a possibility of it getting on the ballot, but that depends on how much the Dems advocate for it.
