I like the bit where Ross Perot stole the presidency from Cuomo.

Cuomo will win. The anti-Cuomo vote is going to be split between Perot and Paul, allowing Cuomo to win with less than 40%.

Ross Perot! The GOP is basically dead.

I could never vote for Ron Paul.

But quite a few Democrats and swing voters are going for Perot, no?

It's Cuomo 38% (11/29), Paul 34% (10/29), Perot 24% (7/29), and Fulani 3% (1/29).

It'll be fun if this turns out to be like IRL 1992.

I'm pretty sure Paul is leading right now. The Right always underpolls.

Indeed, indeed. Just look at 1960.

Although, for a counterexample, look at 1972.

To be honest, it would be pretty funny if Ron Paul defeats Vice-President Mario Cuomo at what was thought to be the height of the "Democratic hegemony" (especially given how weak the Republican field was).  I am also kind of curious who Paul would appoint to the two Supreme Court vacancies that I would assume come up during this term (paging SJoyce Wink ).

I would hope he wouldn't try to appoint a random NJ superior court judge.

]sixth term in power for the Democrats, unprecedented in the history of the country.

We've already had six terms. This would be our seventh Tongue.

If a tie between Perot and Paul is reached, I can see both coming together to get some form of electoral reform passed.

Could we have an apathy-inspired revolt against the Democratic option at a time when the Republican is at least competent?

And where is a link to the list of alternative presidents that have been elected? This seems fascinating.
