Orr-e-gin in my head, but probably closer to Arr-e-gin in reality due to accent. Get someone from the Philly area to say orange, horrible or forest, you'll have a great time.

Orr-gen for me - oddly identical to how I pronounce "organ."

"Orr-eh-gonn", not "gone", though I suppose that's the best possible option.

Like Organ.  I've only heard it pronounced with 3 syllables once ever, and that's as a college football fanatic who always pays attention to the big national games.

I always said "Ore-gon", but since most people from Oregon call it "Ore-gin" (I've had two PoliSci instructors at my community college from Oregon), I'm thinking about settling for a compromise: "Ore-gun."

It's very close to organ, but not quite. So, option 2.

In my native dialect, ['ɔ.ɻɪ.gɑn], but my high school science olympiad/quiz bowl coach, who's from Oregon, was assiduous in asserting that it was pronounced ['ɔ.ɻɪg.n], so I've assimilated to the way that Oregonians prefer.

What's the difference? I meant 'gone' as in 'I have gone' not phonetically.

Orr-ah-gihn (ih = the vowel sound in 'bin'. One of these days I must learn IPA).

This (along with believe it or not "read more about genetics and evolutionary biology") is something I intend to do once I finish my MA thesis. Seriously*.

(* - well, I usually say that Tongue).

Edit: Just realized that sometimes I pronounce it "Orr-ah-guhn". Heh.
