1. Reagan
2. Clinton
3. Nixon
4. Ford
5. GWB
6. GHWB
7. Carter

1-3 were good presidents; 4-7 are bad, and 5-7 are closely knit together and can be rearranged in any order.

why was Carter so bad?  I mean he had a hard time getting along with congressof the same party (not his fault), he had to deal with a bad economy (not too many presidents who haven't), and he failed to get the hostages home-which I see as the only major thing.  I mean, by comparison, he didn't increase government nearly as much as others.

gas prices, his handling of the cold war was a train wreck, etc.
