This has been my favorite new game for the past couple weeks.  I wander around and look for signs to see where I'm at, but I never research it online.  It's also useful to know which countries drive on the right side of the road.

The first one was a cool little beach town with either Japanese or Korean (I get those confused) that reminded me of Ponyo - so I placed in right in between south Korean and Japan (it was Japan near Tottori).  The second at first looked like somewhere I had been on the Eastern Shore, but then I saw that the ocean was on the West and the buildings had more of a Western feel to them, and I correctly guessed Northern CA.  The third looked like some flat, blighted rural ghost town, I saw some signs in English and figured it was in the South or Midwest - no, it was Australia in the South of New South Wales.  For the fourth I realized pretty soon I was in Russia, and happened on a highway sign that I googled through I had some trouble getting the transliteration right. The fifth put me right by a highway sign with Oaxaca and Acapulco, so that was easy enough.

Here's a similar game (one where you can't use Google, cheaters. Tongue)

I got 29 seconds (NA/easy) after finding an American football field with "SEMINOLES" written on it.
NA/medium: 2m45, picked Newark after finding a giant friggin airport.
NA/hard: 3m22, landed relatively near the University of Virginia
World/easy: 11 seconds, ie directly after I noticed the bottom said "© Commonwealth of Virginia" or something along those lines
World/medium: 53 seconds for Osaka
World/hard: 1m07 for London

My high score is 18930, no cheating Cheesy

19752 points, no cheating! I got very lucky here. On the fifth one I was placed somewhere in the Outback, realized there were no signs or anything anywhere near me, so I just clicked somewhere in Australia and ended up less than 100km off.

With google this time:

32394 points

My worst result, incidentally (in a previous game) was when I got a skate park, with no way to move and no signage of any sort. Guessed Pennsylvania, it was Ukraine.

My best was when I landed slap-bang outside the Port Pirie post office in South Australia. My luckiest was this bland country road crossing a wooden bridge. A few rolling hills. Went up the road a hundred metres or so to the nearest driveway and noticed a van. Then noticed the sliding door was on the left side and realised I was probably in Australia. The van numberplate was yellow, so I assumed New South Wales. Guessed up in the North-East, near Armadale, and ended up being off by about 7km.

Edit: Found it by searching through Google Maps, the van is at about 841 Thunderbolts Way, Rocky River, NSW. The original game dropped me on the bridge down the road.

Australia seems to be over represented in the game....of course just when you think you're there, bam, Botswana.  I've seen some cool sh**t though.  One time I was staring at a statue of Lenin.  A logging road in Romania.  others...

I've landed in downtown Kiev and Lisbon. On the other hand, I've also plopped down in countless random Canadian highways and grainy Australian/South African deserts.
