This woman is an all around HP and she goes through staff so often she is known around here as one of the revolving doors of the Texas delegation (Sheila Jackson Lee is the other).

Aren't there supposedly one or two promising Dems who could primary her if they didn't have to worry about 10 other Dems also running? Houston and Dallas both need some fresh faces. That goes for EBJ, SJL and Gene Green.

I don't think his district overlaps hers anymore. Besides, he's not a good fit - SMU-educated Basque-American in a black VRA district. They'll either get a local pol who goes on about "jobs for the community" while constantly dipping their hand in the till, or a whiz kid who went to a bunch of Ivy League schools and returned to their hometown to "give something back." (The former happens 90% of the time; the latter happens 10% of the time).

The biggest weakness of Texas's delegation is that the worst people ( SJL, Joe Barton, EBJ) are the ones with the most seniority. Tom DeLay killed off all our competent, centrist Dems like Martin Frost and, belatedly, Chet Edwards. And the sane Republicans like Joe Straus, Dan Branch and Sarah Davis would rather stay in the state house where they won't be expected to strap rhetorical and legislative bombs on themselves and charge for Barack Hussein Obama in the Hezbollah fashion.

While see may be an HP, is a wiki page really that sacrosanct?
