Socialism means the ownership of the means of production by the people, either through the state, trade unions, or directly. IceSpear seems to be conflating "taxpayer-funded public services" with socialism, which is a totally ridiculous claim to make.

Can we not have free markets and nationalized industry, like many nations in the world today? What you call socialism seems to be closer to communism, though I'm no expert on either.

A burnt out Richard Burton and a been-there-done-it Liz Taylor get liquored up and rip on each other for two hours with a younger couple in tow. There are many reasons, though, and the tension very much rubs off on the younger couple as everyone gets drunker and the night wears on, which is what is so great. I love it. Watching it is like enjoying a rich dessert. Too bad it is in black and white!
