Which mustard do you use most often?

I voted standard American yellow prepared mustard.  Its acidity and astringent qualities lend themselves to making hamburgers, hot dogs, or even pork chops that much better.

Dijon is superior, imho, for sandwich making purposes or for making a rich sauce.

How about you?  What's your mustard M.O.?

Hardly any. I can't tolerate most American garbage condiments.

If I feel the need to use mustard, I use spicy brown.

It's obvious that this poll is biased against Southerners. Tongue In lieu of the One True Choice, I'll go with German-style.

Spicy brown is the only mustard for me. Mustard is not supposed to be sweet.

I like good ol' all-American yellow mustard, although honey mustard and deli mustard are good too.  I don't care for spicy foods that much, so I'm not a fan of spicy mustard.

I prefer American yellow mustard.  It adds the most of any topping to a hamburger or a sandwich.

I can do Dijon on maybe sub sandwiches, but even then I still prefer yellow mustard.

I can and have eaten yellow mustard in spoonfuls by itself.

Regular mustard on burgers and onion rings.  Spicy Brown on cold cuts (I'm cool with regular on cold cuts too).  Honey for dipping things.  Like onions, I love all the varieties.

"Deli-style"/spicy brown and dijon are the two true mustards.  Some things are better with one or the other, some things can take either just fine.

Honey mustard is a pretty good dipping sauce, too.

Don't much care for American yellow (I find it sour, bland, and almost metallic) or English-style (it's just too hot to the exclusion of other flavor- I'll go with horseradish instead if I want my sinuses cleared).

American yellow mustard. It's especially good on hot dogs, but also on sandwiches and hamburgers. Also when I make pulled pork I smother the pork cut in mustard then add dry rub. delicious of course you don't really taste the mustard.

You were dared to eat a spoonful of mustard? What a risqué game of truth or dare that was....

I also do love all mustard.. including hot mustard (I also love horseradish and wasabi).

If I have a decent steak that still needs a little something... horseradish sauce is awesome.

Generally yellow American, although I like hot English on roast beef and German on a bratwurst.

One time, we were out of honey mustard, and I actually got honey and mustard and put them together on my chicken. It tasted just like honey mustard!

I like French and German mustard. The American kind is better than nothing, but I don't really care for it.
