IIRC, all presidents are related to each other in some way except for Van Buren.

Are all of those relations by blood, or are some of them by marriage?

All of them are distant cousins. The furthest relationship is Bush and Obama, 10th Cousins twice removed. (But at that point, you really can't call each other family)

Proof that all presidents are related? (Well, all humans are, but traceable?)

Cool. Geni is the site that I have been using to build my tree.

I just noticed I skipped a generation on my tree, so I'm actually a 9th cousin of GWB, no removes. Makes more sense, given our ages.

Nothing at all. Having farmers in rural Quebec and fishermen in Eastern Quebec as ancestors doesn't help.

Perhaps you're related to some Prime Ministers then? Genealogy of Anglo PMs is sparse on the internet, but there's some good stuff on Francophone MPs.

Doubt it either and I have no knowledge in genealogy. It's not very popular in Quebec.

EDIT: If I'm related to one, would wage on René Lévesque, through.

I'm related to both bushes, and that is all I know.
This, through Richard Treat. Given how much New York Dutch ancestry I have, I suppose it's possible I'm related to Van Buren or the Roosevelts, but I have absolutely no evidence to back up any such claim. I am also a direct descendant of both William Brewster and Stephen Hopkins through Cushing Snow (a Massachusetts man who migrated west in the early nineteenth century), but it seems those two don't have many famous descendants as compared to other Mayflower passengers. I looked it up once, and I think the politician to whom I am most closely related through Mayflower connections is Sarah Palin.
