Dubya was elected in the year I began HS. I remember my American friend criticizing a map I had drawn for colouring the Democrats red and the Republicans blue! (This was just before the 2000 election, actually BEFORE networks had standardized the red vs. blue for maps, so I don't know how he could've known. I had no idea, so I just went with what made the most sense (blue is for the conservatives, red for Liberals).

Bush until the second half of grade 11, Obama after that (2009-2010).

Or: Jacques Chirac (2006-2007) and Sarkozy (2007-2010)

What is more horrible is this factoid: Stephen Harper was Prime Minister throughout my high school years, and will almost certainly be Prime Minister until the end of my undergrad. Isn't that horrible? From the second half of Grade 8 until the end of undergrad?

Georgie Dubs.  I was such a warrior for Edwards then Kerry my junior year.  Didn't take me long to be known as a big time leftie once that election kicked into gear.

Ford, then Carter in 77 when I graduated.

So born in 1959? Why the Grumps username if you are only in your mid 50s?

Yep, 53 years old... born in 1959.  I started out as GM3PRP, which is my registered name.....initials + a professional designation.  It's been a while but if memory serves someone called me Grumpy Gramps, and I loved it!  So i started using it. Then the ever efficient Torie shortened it to Grumps......

The Atlasians I've met will attest to the fact I'm neither Grumpy or old enough to be a gramps (well technically I am old enough, but I'm not one.)  Boring story, I realize, but question asked - question answered.  Smiley
