5. Warner
6. Castro
7. O'Malley

Completely different list if Wyden, either Udall, Merkley, or Feingold jump in.

Of that list, Warren and Hickenlooper are the only two immediately acceptable options. Clinton is a non starter.

Since Warren has zero chances in the general, I'm supporting Hillary.

I don't get why people say this. Warren would have a better chance in a general than a primary against Hillary. Don't think she'd even try the latter. In a general, I think she'd be favored against just about all Republicans and the race would be toss-up against someone like Christie. Scott Brown had high approvals in Massachusetts and basically ran as an Independent but she beat him.

Schweitzer. I think he would have a coattail effect on a lot of states and would put Republicans on the defensive in areas they never though they'd have to be. Places like Montana, Missouri and the Dakotas.

I agree, though I don't think he could save Missouri for the Dems. It's trending right, and quickly.

[1]Schweitzer: One of the best Dems we've got. FF.
[2]Hickenlooper: Admittedly unsure here, because of his gun stuff, but good on other issues.
[3]Warner: Seems decent enough. Moderate.
[4]O'Malley: Generic liberal, so meh. Alright. Seems kinda charismatic. The band thing is interesting.
[5]Castro: Meh. Inexperienced. Alright I guess?
[6]Gillibrand: Not a good choice for a party that spent an entire cycle painting Romney as a flip-flopper. Dunno how well that would play in a GE - electability issue here, not ideology.
[7]Clinton: I don't get it. She voted for the War in Iraq, supported intervention in Libya, supported the Patriot Act, carpetbagged to win an election, anti-free trade, sent more troops to Afghanistan, anti-WikiLeaks. Why is she so special?
[8]Warren: Quite hawkish on Iran, not very good on free enterprise.
[9]Cuomo: Awful. Just awful. He supports gay marriage. Yay. He also supports some of the nation's strictest gun control and (unlike his father, who promoted education) has been absolutely awful on education policy. Just vote Republican.
[10]Biden: Gaffe-prone author of the PATRIOT Act, the AWB, and the Drug Czar. If he is nominated Democrats will lose and look awful while doing it. Certainly says some good stuff occasionally, but at the top of the ticket, he'd eventually just screw up and lose.

Would enthusiastically support above the others: Hickenlooper, Gillibrand

Not perfect but I like their electability: Clinton, Schweitzer

Generally alright but I have reservations that they'd be weak GE candidates: Warren, Castro, Biden*

Pretty uninspiring, but still better than any R: O'Malley, Warner

Bad enough that I'd consider not voting for: Cuomo

*Biden is actually my favorite candidate if I'm being idealistic, but the pragmatic argument puts him in this tier.

Why do you disapprove of Cuomo? I am not as familiar with him as I'd like to be, and I'm interested in the opinion of New Yorkers, specifically.

Hillary. If she doesn't run, I'd be looking at Schweitzer or Gillibrand. Warren isn't going to run in 2016. Even though I like him a lot, Biden doesn't rank very high on the electability score. Cuomo would only get my vote in a general election as the true lesser of two evils. I don't really have strong opinions on the others.

Schweitzer, but I'd be perfectly happy with Hillary or really any of the above.

Warren and Biden would be my last choices, even though I really like both of them, because I think Christie would probably beat them.

Idiosyncratic reasons, actually.  Most of the leftists and progressives hate him for budget cutbacks that they consider to be anti-union, but that bothers me a lot less than some other things he's done:

1) He dropped the ball on redistricting, promising to veto any gerrymandered maps while still letting the Republican State Senate draw their own horrible lines (complete with systematic 10 percent deviation!)

2) Transit issues- in particular, watering down the "transit lockbox" that would have protected the MTA from raids on its budget (Cuomo has been very happy to raid their budget, of course), as well as going against the recommendation of basically every planning expert, every previous study done to date, and the vast majority of community groups in strong-arming through a double-wide replacement for the Tappan Zee Bridge (a bridge that does not actually have to be replaced just yet, in fact) that does not include any provision for public transit.  And, yes, strong-arming.

He has basically been using the imperious style and complete disregard for non-drivers of Robert Moses as a role model, not as a cautionary tale of what we should never do again.  And, well, given that I've read The Power Broker and transit issues are very high on my priorities list, this basically makes him persona non grata in my eyes.

Young and charismatic Hispanic. He's stuck as Mayor, though, and would probably need a cabinet appointment to go national.

My order of preference:

1. Hillary
2. Cuomo
3. Gillibrand
4. Warner
5. Schweitzer
6. Hickenlooper
7. Biden
8. Warren
9. O'Malley

My list:

1. Warren - Prefect on almost every issue when it comes to economic and social polices!
2. Schweitzer - I views on health care and energy (for the most part), also I like his tough personality
3. Hillary - Definitely off-putting at times and I don't agree with all of her positions, but she has the best chances of winning and bringing along massive coattails
4. O'Malley - Another governor doing great work on a whole range of issues, but he has no charisma
5. Hickenlooper - Doing great work in Colorado on voting rights, civil unions, gun control and the death penalty, but he also seems like a New Democrt
6. Biden - Personally I love the guy because he's hilarious, but to many issues I disagree with
7. Gillibrand - I like her on some issues (sexual assault in the military), but she is too much of a New Democrat for me
8. Warner - I enjoy seeing his huge landslides in Virginia, but he's a big Moderate Hero
9. Cuomo - I love his position on social issues, but he's like Scott Walker when it comes to economic issues.

Is there any chance that Russ Feingold or Sherrod Brown runs so that I can at least throw my anti-Clinton vote away without having to puke afterward?

I can guess why you dont like most of them, and maybe Warren is too arrogant, but why do Hickenlooper and Castro make you wanna puke?
