How long until motion capture technology can call all of the fouls automatically?

Until then, the games are always going to come down to subjective referee decisions.

And I'm not necessarily saying the refs did a bad job tonight, but it would be preferable to get rid of the controversy entirely.

I didn't see the game, but why would it be preferable?  Bitchin' at the refs is one of the time-honored things that makes sports enjoyable.

My niece has turned to the dark side... She's a Heat fan. Sad  Where did I go wrong?

I'm kind of glad I won't be able to watch Game 7.  While Game 7 is underway, I'll be in the air hopping over the pond.  I'll catch the score in Brussels.

Even if you didn't like the final results, that was an incredible game!
6/6 so far, I have the Heat winning game 7.

I very rarely watch the NBA (or basketball in general), but I happened to catch most of the OT tonight at work.  Wow....NBA games are like opebo posts, when I happen to occasionally check one out it ALWAYS reminds me why I have it on ignore.  Never fails.

I don't have any rooting interest in this series, but I do know that LeBron haters are boring and tedious. It's not 2011 anymore, guys.

The orgy of fouling at the end of every remotely close game really is awful.

People whining about refs are generally insufferable.  It's even worse when refs legitimately do change the outcomes of games.

Also, Ginobili clearly traveled before he was fouled.  FWIW.

I think it could call violations right now since they are so black and white. Fouls are much much more subjective. Speaking as a referee, there's a huge amount of judgement calls involved in fouls.

There's going  to be a HEAT WAVE in Miami on Thursday. Heat blow out Spurs by 15-20.

Yep. The Heat will win in a blowout. I can't imagine SA coming back from that, where they literally left it all on the court, to win. Manu tweeted after the game that they were devastated. Not exactly a good thing to say before game 7.

I hardly ever watch the NBA (although I do enjoy college basketball), but I have relatives in San Antonio who are Spurs fans, and I can't stand LeBron James, so the Spurs are the natural choice for me.  Let's hope they win tonight!

For a man who once caught a bat with his bare hand during gameplay, I think that Ginobili could've had less turnovers.

Though I had absolutely no investment in this game, I'll note the fans of both teams are horribly annoying.

We all knew who was winning the championship at the end of Game 6.

We all knew who was winning the championship after Ray Allen hit that game tying 3 in game 6. Still hate it for Duncan. This was probably his last chance, and they were 28 seconds away in game 6 from the title.

Shouldn't have gone seven. Should have gone five. Fwiw, I don't hate LeBron - in fact, I like him, and I like Miami, even though I was not "rooting" for anyone.

The thing to remember is this: The only thing harder than playing in Pittsburgh is playing in Cleveland, and it's for the geometrically opposite reason.

LeBron says, "I'm great," and almost always proves it. I have no problem with that or him being a little salty from time to time. The dude works his ass off.
