I'll keep this brief, 'cause I'm too tired now to use my computer and have resorted to my 3DS's crappy Internet function, and because Sjoyce is the original sponsor. In short, I belive in giving people a better life - that (and the semi-free adultery) is why I'm in government. This bill does that. If you come to this country to get a better life, and you don't  up once you're here, you should get that life. Sjoyce, take it from here.

Okay, so this would take non-criminal illegal immigrants who have completed/are going to complete high school or a tour of duty who were brought to this country as children in-region tuition. It would let them pay the same tuition as their classmates.

This is designed to not help illegal immigrants per se, but to help their children who were brought here by their parents and who worked hard in school in hopes of going to college, but probably can't afford to do so. This makes it a little easier for them. It wouldn't hit our revenue by lowering the number who are paying out-of-region tuition, but would instead just increase the percentage of high school grads who get a college degree, by allowing these hard-working kids who've done good in school to have a chance to be able to attend college. It could marginally increase school revenues - the money paid by these students represents income that wouldn't otherwise be there. This would also expand and raise the caliber of the Southern workforce - each one who goes to college and becomes a professional means one less sucking on the social/criminal justice budget of this region, and one more paying taxes and able to attract employers looking for well-educated workers. As for the fairness to US citizens, the impact would be minimal - less than 2% of high school grads are illegal immigrants and only a fraction of those will attend college, so it'd be a few hundred at most.

Well ok then! Lets bring this to a vote, shall we? Voting will last either 48 hours or until all legislators have voted. Please vote either aye, nay, or abstain.

On the Promoting Education Act of 2013: by the powers vested in me as Emperor of this region, I thus sign it into law.
