Who wins and why?

Why would Greg Abbott run after just becoming Governor? Awful.

Abbot would never win, one of the biggest reasons is that most Americans outside of Texas have never heard of him.

I dispute the whole "nobody knows who he is" argument. I mean, he would be nominated in a widely publicized political convention. His image and name would be on over a hundred magazine covers and newspaper front pages. You don't think by election day most people would've figured out who this 'Greg Abbot' guy is?

A wiser way of making that argument might be...most Americans outside of Texas will have only known Abbot as a politician for a very short period of time, and that would come with trust issues as well as uncertainty.
