The Restoration of Pacific Order Act

1. So as to guarantee order and stability on the western border of the Region of the Northeast, the Northeast National Guard shall enter Pacific territory to guarantee stable and efficient government until such time as the Pacific is able to govern itself.

2. Until the Pacific is able to govern itself, all Pacific territory shall be considered temporarily annexed by the Region of the Northeast. During this time Pacific residents afforded every right that would be given to any Northeast citizen.

3. Federal elections in the former Pacific region will be administered by a caretaker governor, appointed by the Governor.

4. Declares that the Imperial Dominion of the South's claims on the Pacific are illegitimate and henceforth invalid in all areas governed by the Northeast.

It is simple: We cannot let the Imperial Dominion of the South have the sole claim to the Pacific. If the federal government has other ideas, we should support them --but as long as the south is acting unilaterally, we must ensure the freedoms of the people of the Pacific.

This is definitely an issue I think should be left to the feds and only the feds.  I've never been in favor of imperialism in any form, and I don't want the Northeast to become involved this way with territories we're thousands of miles away from.

I prefer not being involved, and the issue being left to the Feds...but I don't think we should allow the South's claim to go unanswered.

This would be like France annexing South Africa, this can only hurt our economy

In that case, we'd be better off petitioning the Feds to handle the situation in the way they see fit.  I will not sign a bill that would put our region in such a mess.

I withdraw my bill in support of federal action.
