Why doesn't this poll have I/O options for "unsure" and "Texas"? I'm unsure, as I've never been to
California, though I've been to Harris County, TX quite a bit. It's probably the part of the world I'm most familiar with other than the Oak Ridge area.
Sorry, simple oversight.

Other than low cost, what does Texas offer? Hundred degree summers and the smell of cow farts. Mmmm

Rocks, guys in douchy hats. flags, and skanks? I suspect California has plenty of all of those as well.

Texas (sane)

California might have a hand full of nice spots, but the people out there seem to be generally much more smug and the cost of living is too high. In Texas you have better food, nicer people, a great variety of climates natural beautiful (not that Cali doesn't) and we have Houston. California can claim to be diverse, but so is Texas.

And to top it all off, BBQ. I would say Texas has better barbecue, but that would imply its even comparable.
