The bill that passed the Legislature was a poor facsimile of true imperial advancement. It proposes that the Pacifickers be given equal voting rights, which would diminish the role of the IDS as the proprietor of the Empire, as well as negate the voice of the Imperial citizen in favor of the bloodthirsty hordes that skulk the wildlands. Did a Carthaginian or a Britannian gain rights equivalent to a Roman citizen? Probably not.
In short, we done messed up. Or rather, our elected representatives did. I am tempted to sign this petition as a voice of my disapproval of their actions. And I do doubt the good faith of certain ones among their number. I daresay that some may be counting on the hordes to force regime change in this region and dethrone our hallowed Emperor, against the will of his true and loyal subjects.
And yes, I just dug my empire hat out of the closet. Still fits too!
