What's too hot or too cold?

This will vary from person to person and from region to region... and from activity to activity.

I love summers in northern Minnesota.  Most afternoons from Memorial Day to mid September are in the 70s somewhere... which is ideal.  But I also enjoy cool days and would gladly take a month of 50s and 60s over a month of 80s and 90s.

I get really antsy when the same kind of weather stays locked in for more than a few days.  For example... after tomorrow our weather forecast couldn't be more blah... chances of garden variety thunderstorms now and then with highs in the mid-upper 70s and lows in the mid-upper 50s.  Perfect, gorgeous weather... but not exciting.

So.. if I'm working outside, I like 60s.  The kind where if you start to build up a sweat you can cool down just by standing there for a few minutes.

Anything above 85 is only nice if there's a body of water involved... preferably where you're in it.

But I actually like the climate here.  If I could change it, I'd ask for more snow.  Nothing more.  And preferably not before Halloween or after Easter.

Too hot is probably 80 or over, and too cold is probably under 50.

Personally, I like 70s.  It's warm, but not too hot.

About 80 degrees if dry, 75 degrees if more humid. With some wind, a tad higher is OK. If in a suit and tie, 5 degrees lower, but that happens but once in a blue moon now. I find I like it warmer in my sunset years.

50 and sunny with no wind would be nice.

Below 70 and overcast. Cloudiness is extremely important. An otherwise comfortable day can be disgusting because of the sunshine. Wind is nice also.

Seventies in the summer, fifties in the spring and autumn with jaunts into the forties and sixties depending on the exact time of year and day, low twenties to mid-thirties in the winter. Like memphis, I don't care for direct sunshine, although I prefer partial to complete cloud cover, and love wind.

Anything below 70 is good. My favorite days in the fall are when it's about 60 and cloudy.

Sunny and 68%'s outside. It's easier to get warm than to stay cool.

Perfect weather would be fifties and overcast. Really, any weather that allows one to wear long sleeves and long pants in one's home. Seventies are comfortable with a strong breeze, but anything above that simply won't do.

Winter: Anything above -5, although my least favourite weather is when it's just below freezing and damp.

Any other time of year: When I ca wear long sleeves or a t-shirt and light jacket comfortably.

Anything over 75 or so is horrible. 50-60s are the best.

80-85 is good for me. Anything over 88 is too much. I hate the 40-70 area, but I love it when it gets down into the 30s in early January.

Generally low-to-mid-fifties is the best. Anything above seventy degrees Fahrenheit is almost unbearable in the absence of clouds and a strong breeze. Assuming I have a jacket, it doesn't get to cold until we get down to the thirties. (Again, assuming there is no wind or precipitation). I would gladly make everything ten degrees cooler here, all year round.

Mid-70s is my preference. I prefer extremely cold to extremely hot - you can always bundle up with more clothes, but it's impossible to escape from the heat.

That's just what us northerners tell the southerners as a way to try and convince them that it is *they* who have the crappy climate...

I'm sorry but -30 is too cold period.  No amount of bundling up will keep you warm in those temps for extended periods.  Unless you're inuit and have access to their native clothing.

I couldn't agree more with this assessment.. though I can certainly tolerate a wider range than you describe.

The weather in Thailand is not generally the best point about it, but to a large extent I avoid the unpleasantness by being partially nocturnal.
