I have a few concerns with this, but the 3 largest outside of cost would be:

1. requiring teachers have masters.
2. Allowing them to choose their own texts. That works fine for the college level, but for k-12 that is a little unreasonable to place that much burden on the school district.
3. The phrasing needs a little work.

1. requiring teachers have masters.

Current teachers are grandfathered in, and other would-be teachers would have tuition help under the original edition of the Is Our Child Learning Act.

2. Allowing them to choose their own texts. That works fine for the college level, but for k-12 that is a little unreasonable to place that much burden on the school district.

There are a limited number of texts that they could choose from, under the original act.

I have two concerns: First,

Wouldn't this mean that if the Federal government wanted to give us education money we'd have to turn it down? Free money is never a bad thing.

Second,

Private schools depend on tuition to survive; I know the Catholic school I went to did. How would parochial and other private schools be able to exist at all without tuition?

I don't think our communities should have to bear that much of the responsibility for private schools, I see nothing wrong for charging tuition fees for their services.

I'm guess I'm fine with this, seeing as there doesn't seem to be a clause in our or the Federal constitution baring money from going to groups affiliated with a religion. As long as parochial schools can still exist I'll probably vote for it.

Although...thinking about it, what would prevent a rogue history teacher from deciding to dump all regular textbooks and teaching from "A Marxist History of the World" or something?

You have to go back to the first part of the bill that we discussed back in September 2012. There was some kind of review board to select a number of textbooks that were allowed to be used by teachers. IIRC, this board was composed in a way that would probably not allow "A marxist history of the world" to get in in the first place, nor "Capitalism is greater than bacon, the alpha and omega", or "My Little Pony : a Phenomenology of the Mind".

Seeing no more debate I'll bring this to a vote. Legislators have either 48 hours or until all have voted to vote.

[X] Mollie's Nipple or Molly's Nipple is the name given to as many as seven peaks, at least one butte, at least one well, and some other geological features in Utah. Some sources claim there are eleven geological features in Utah that bear this name. At least some of those names are attributed to John Kitchen – a pioneer of an early exploration of Utah, who named them to commemorate a nipple of his wife (or his bride according to some sources) Molly.

Mollie's Nipple butte is located in Hurricane Valley Heritage Park. Its elevation is 1353 feet "above the fertile Hurricane Valley". Mollie's Nipple butte was well known to pioneers during frontier exploration of the area. The butte has an archeological significance because indigenous peoples of the Americas used the caves below the Nipple for cooking. Climbers also find some old pottery atop of the Nipple. It is believed that the butte was used "to send up smoke signals to hunting and seed gathering parties." The butte can be climbed; those who reach the top are rewarded by "a vast circle of breath-taking, colorful, geologic and historic wonders, unmatched by any view in the world!"
