Heading to visit Mrs Smid's family. I'm sure they'd let me use the computer, but it may be a little unsocial, and I think we have a fair bit planned for our time there (including travel from their house, so those times may be particularly lacking in internet).

I certainly hope so, but I think you saw Mrs Smid's Facebook comment when I flew up for the boys' weekend the other week - about if I come back smelling of Scotch and cigars, I'll be in the dog house... mind you, the Scotch she doesn't mind... rather enjoys it herself, actually. Just the cigars that gets me in the bad books...

I'm pretty sure it's socially acceptable to use a tablet device when you're visiting with family.  Now, 30 minute walks... that's a big no-no.
