Don't worry, Democrats are doing their best to make sure nobody knows about this and act like this was a failure--especially those running for re-election.

Because if Andrew Cuomo wins, the senate is guaranteed to turn Republican no matter what.
Nah. Provided the republicans gain less than 8 senate seats this cycle (If Angus King caucuses with them, that would count as gaining a seat under this calculation), they won't have the senate after 2016 no matter what (as I don't see the republicans winning more than 1 out of PA, IL, and WI in 2016).

If Andrew Cuomo is elected,  the numbers won't matter. The senate will turn Republican.

Done for the OH Democratic Party.

Treat it with a truckload of salt.

Also: Don't add it to the database.

Anyway,

Pbrower's maps make way more sense if you're messed up on cat drugs.

I imagine Gully and Oakvale don't spend nearly as much time thinking about banning people as some spend hypothesizing about it.

The encounter between the ironic and the irony-free is a recurring Atlas train wreck.

I think the Democrats have become more socialistic. That really turns off many Americans, but the Republicans haven't been as good at articulating solutions.

Don't Ask Don't Tell was a Democratic policy. The Defense of Marriage Act was a Democratic Policy. Hobby Lobby won in the USSC because of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, signed by a Democratic President.

The fact that the last Democratic President did things that now this Democratic administration is against shows how fast the Democrats have gone further left. That's why I can't bring myself to vote for one of them for any office. Think about it. I think Obama has repealed more of the Clinton years than he has the Bush years.
This is pretty much all true, but especially the bolded part.  The only thing I disagree with is the notion that Democrats have become "socialist"; I would call them more social democratic.

Not bad.  Aside from the scandals and such.

By scandals, do you mean every single facet of his presidency?

Some of the absolute greatest. Most of the stronger criticisms of them originated within deliberately and consciously ultra-reactionary and slavery-apologist schools of historiography in the early twentieth century.
With the caveat that he means academic criticisms. Obviously, there were plenty of folks before the early 1900s who were critical of them.

With only 3 posts he already earns a spot here. Well played. Tongue

It seems Hanabusa's campaign is entirely based on "Daniel Inouye wanted me to be senator, so you should vote for me"

So much of this whole situation predicated on the fact that Russia is ruled by a James Bond villain.

The notion that most gay people live in a handful of trendy gay neighborhoods like SF's Castro or Chicago's Boystown is preposterous. Gay people are everywhere, including solidly Republican parts of the country.

Wow. He said something that was stated in that very thread probably fifteen times already? What a sage.

Oh, Atlas.

Just pointing out that a sexually liberal environment really doesn't have to be an issue. In fact, I suspect rape happens more in sexually repressed environments for a variety of reasons. Just look at India, a country where it's illegal to kiss in public.

And all this nonsense about curfews or single-sex dorms...say what? THere is none of that here. The idea that if you allow men to hang around women rape is inevitable is precisely part of the rape culture that needs to be tackled.
