Agreed, but it should be put out by a campaign...

Wow, with that ad, I think I might be able get a job with the McConnell Campaign if that is what they are putting out.

The McConnell campaign is secretly a stimulus project.

And I give them props for focusing their hiring on the underserved first grader demographic.

In case no one noticed, McConnell is spelled wrong at the end of the ad.

Jim DeMint's PAC has some pretty encouraging words:

Do the Kentucky Republicans have anyone on their bench that could do better than him, though?

One of the Congress Critters (Barr, Guthrie, or Massie most likely) would do fine. There's also Ag Commissioner James Comer.

We'll see how Democrats like her in a few years after having a Manchin-like record in the Senate...Roll Eyes

I get more of a Begich/Tester/Landrieu vibe from her.

Also, I like Manchin except for his gay marriage stance.

I really don't care how she votes as long as Mitch McConnell gets the hell out of my Senate. Like AG I think she's more like Landrieu than anything, that is, a moderate Democrat with enough populist vibes to hold on in the South.

So can somebody explain to me again why Kentucky Democrats are still competitive statewide even though the state is incredibly Republican nationally?

Better to have someone voting with you 8/10x than 1/10x.

They have a steady fundraising network and party infrastructure. And they're more moderate than their colleagues in Georgia and other places. They run populist, state-centered campaigns.

The DLC ruined the national Democrats in the eyes of many Kentuckians.

National Democrats have forgotten how appealing Populism is in the south.

Sure, it's catchy, if songs like Stupid Hoe by Nicki Minaj are your thing.

This is why 70-year-old men need to stop trying to relate to youngs.

I doubt McConnell had anything to do with creating the add.

Of course not, he'd probably notice the fact that they spelled his own name wrong. Overall it was just incredibly sloppily/hastily made, and in general another cringeworthy attempt at relating to young people made by old Republicans.

Another McConnell ad...just terrible. On the bright side, she sounded horrible in her announcement speech.

Too bad we couldn't get Ashley Judd Sad

This has the makings of a very strange race and both sides look sloppy out of the gate.

I doubt that.  I agree with angryGreatness that she seems more like a Begich or a Landrieu.

Also, hilariously bad ad from McConnell's camp.

She will be a kind of Mary Landrieu: moderately populist I would say, so It's not Joe Manchin.
