So didn't Bayern officially win the title the other day?

Also, Celtic won their title yesterday or the day before. Shocking that that wasn't officially wrapped up by January. What an embarrassment for them.

Preview and Predictons for Friday March 28

German Bundesliga

Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen
With Bayern Munich having locked up the Bundesliga, Schalke looks to grab second (currently at 51 points, one behind Borussia Dortmund) and clinch a spot in next years Champions League (At 51 points Schalke holds the last non-qualifying spot in and is currently four points clear of Bayer Leverkusen , seven points of Wolfsburg and nine points ahead of Borussia Monchengladenbach. They will be at home against Hertha Berlin, who is currently in ninth position, and is looking to stop a five game winless streak dating back to February 28 against Freiburg. In addition Hertha Berlin is still mathematically alive for a Europa League spot as at 36 points they are only six points behind sixth place Borussia Monchengladenbach and eight back of Wolfsburg..
I predict
 2  0

2.Bundesliga
Millerntor-Stadion St. Pauli, Hamburg-Mtte, Hamburg

SpVgg Gruether Furth has a chance to knock one of the teams chasing it in the battle for promotion to Bundesliga. They are on the road in St. Pauli, which is currently in fifth position and six points behind second place Gruether Furth. This will make for a closely fought, even game.
I predict
 1  1

France Ligue 1
Allianz Riviera, Nice
Paris Saint German has a chance to practically wrap a bow on the top league in France (They lead Monaco by ten points and third place Lille by nineteen) with a victory over 11th place OCG Nice, who barring a complete disaster is safe from relegation (they are ten points ahead of 18th place Valeciennes, thirteen clear of Sochaux, and twenty ahead of the certainly-relegated Ajacco), and is for all intents and purposes, out of the discussion for international play (They are thirteen points behind fourth place St. Etienne and sixteen behind Third place Lille). With Paris Saint German's talents compared to Nice's (Edinson Cavini, Zlatan Ibhramovic v Dario Civtanich, Jeremy Pied as one group of examples) The only danger for PSG is if they get caught looking ahead to their next match, a Champions League duel with Chelsea at Parc Des Princes
I predict;
 3  1

French Ligue 2

Stade Parsemain, Fos-Sur-Meir France
Both Niort FC and FC Istres are fighting for something. For Istres, the home team, they need to dodge relegation, as they are in seventeenth at 32 points, only a single point higher than Nimes Olympique, and two points higher than nineteenth placed Stade Laval (CA Bastia currently 20th is fifteen points behind and thus essentially locked into relegation). For Niort FC, currently in third place, but with six teams within a five point range (Angers, Tours, Caen, AS Nancy Lorraine, Troyes and Dijon FCO plus a seventh team, Clermont Foot only nine back) their position as one the three teams being promoted to Ligue one is not anywhere near secure. Both teams are likely to play their hearts out this week, which like in most other sports should favor the home team.
Prediction;
 2  1

Dutch Eridvise
Rat Verlegh Stadium, Berda
When roughly half the league is techincally involved in some form international competition, like the Eridviese, (eight out eighteen teams go to either Champions League, Champions League Qualifying, Europa League Qualifying or Europa League Playoffs), everyone is in contention (sometimes even the teams being relegated). This dynamic is at play in Friday's match as 11th place NAC Breda is only three points back of eighth (PEC Zwolle), while their opponents 14th place FC Utrecht is simulteanously only six points back of eighth and four points ahead of sixteenth and seventeenth, the two positions that would do battle in a relegation playoff (RC Waalwijk, NEC Nijmegen) and six ahead of eighteenth, which actually will be relegated (Roda JC Kerkade) The players to watch in this match are FC Utrecht Forward Steve De Ridder (formerly of Southampton and Bolton) and FC Utrecht Forward (And U.S National team veteran) Juan Agudelo
Prediction
10

Dutch Erste Divise
GN Bouw Stadium, Dordrecht
FC Dordrecht looks to stay out of the "playoff" part of promotion (they have a four point cushion over second position Willem II Tillburg) as they face 12th place Helmond Sport (Who normally would be in some relegation trouble but in the Erste Divise only 20th/last is relegated and Helmond Sport currently has a thirteen point lead over the team currently in that position, Achillies 29) Prediction
 4  1

Stadion Woudestein, Rotterdam
While fourth place SBV Excelsior seems to have a decent shot at returning to Eredivse (especially thanks to their friendship with Feyernood), they face an interesting test in ninth place (and only four points back) FC Volendam.  Prediction
 2 1

Portuguese Liga
Estadio de Restelo, Lisbon
Beleneses is already in the drop zone (16th) and sitting on seventeen points, while Pacos de Ferreria is sitting on twenty-two points and is nowhere near safety. Essentialy this is the relegation battle in Portugal.
Prediction     0  0

Turkish Super League
Dr. Nehmettin Seyhoglu Stadium, Karabuk
Second place Bestikas looks to close the gap on Fenerbahce (Fenerbahce is currently seven points ahead and also has played one fewer game (will be two after this match). They shouldn't have much trouble with Karabukspor even on the road.
Prediction
 3    0

Danish SAS-Liagen
TRE-FOR Park, Odense
Odense is trying to sneak into a European spot (5 out 12 teams qualify for some form of European play) (Odense is sixth, three points back) however they face a desperate roadblock at home in Sonderskjye, which would be relegated if the season ended today. This match comes down to who is more desperate.   Prediction    1
 0

League of Ireland

Tallaght Stadium, Dublin
While the Irish Season is young (Everyone's only played three games), only two teams are undamaged by a loss, one of the being the home team in this match, the Shamrock Rovers one of the most storied clubs in Ireland (and possibly all of football) will face Sligo, which so far has defeated Athione, and to Bray and Dundalk. Don't expect an upset here.
Prediction  4  0

Athlone Town Stadium, Athlone
Athlone Town hasn't won a game yet (thru three matches) while Cork hasn't lost yet (draw with St. Patricks, victories over Derry and Bray). Don't expect an upset here either.
Prediction   2  0

Oriel Park, Dundalk
Third place Dundalk is facing a strong challenge from traditional power Bohemian FC. Since this is only match number four on the year, don't expect top effort from both sides.
Prediction
 1  1

Thomond Park, Limerick
Fourth Place Drogheda United faces a relatively weak foe in Limerick FC (Draws against Bray and St. Patricks and a loss against Dundalk). Don't expect an upset here either.
Prediction
 2  1

Napoli vs. Juventus this weekend. We have to win if we want to continue to have a prayer at second place.

Liverpool might actually win the league. Wow.

It would be cool to see. What a show they put on today.

Speaking of spectacles, we owned Juventus. It's performances like that that really piss me off though: we can beat Juve 2-0 in such a beautiful fashion but we dropped a ton of points to joke sides. Today could have been a title decider. Oh well. Still a shot for second. We are all but guaranteed at least third. After today's performance, I do believe we'll have a true battle for the Scudetto next season. This was a major statement.

We all know Mourinho will pull out a win in the second leg.

Remember the last time Chelsea were down 3-1 in the first leg (away) in the knockout stages of the CL? Sadly, as a Napoli fan, I do.

Not that any of this matters. Real Madrid only confirmed again today that they'll be lifting the trophy after the Final.

Looks like fifth place is the only way we'll get a competent manager, so it doesn't seem that bad at this point. As long as Everton takes 4th and not Spurs.

Chelsea pulled it off, as expected. And Dortmund almost pulled off the shocker but not quite. The hope for a Chelsea vs. Real Madrid Semi (or Final) lives.

I wouldn't be surprised if ManU kicks out Bayern tonight.

The game will probably be very entertaining, but Bayern wins 3-2 or so.

Atletico also defeats Barcelona 2-1.

Bayern defeats ManU 3-1 (ManU actually scored the 1-0 and would have been in the Semis... for 1 minute, then Bayern scored 3 in a row)

Atletico defeats Barcelona 1-0.

It's a shame that United were so sloppy in the seconds after their goal.
