Due to the Napoli tie, Roma officially clinch at least second, meaning they have an automatic CL spot. Next season will be their first season there since 2010-11.

No points today and United will officially be unable to qualify for the CL. It would be the first time in nineteen - nineteen! - straight seasons. What a welcome home for Moyes and Rooney!

Very sad. He's brought us all so much joy over the past year. He'll be missed very much.

My (probably wrong) guesses to replace Moyes at Manchester United;

Queen's Park Rangers Manager Harry Redknapp- Manager of the 2008 FA Cup champion Portsmouth team, and reaching the heights of the Champions League Quarterfinals with Tottenham Hotspur, Redknapp has decades of experience in the Premier League,

Staabek Manager Bob Bradley-  I think to have a 24-5-7 record as the Manager of the Egyptian National Team during rhe crisis afflicting that country more than makes you qualified to be manager at a madhouse like Old Trafford.

Celtic Manager Neil Lennon-  Four years at Celtic and he's already a heavily decorated manager... Does he yearn for bigger things?

Wigan Manager Uwe Rosler- Wigan's likely going to be promoted, so why not poach their manager?

Olympique Lyonnais manager Remi Garde- Lyon has played well this year despite PSG and Monaco's dominance, but is Manchester United interested?

Although the idea of Harry Redknapp in control of Manchester United's chequebook is an amusing concept.

Indeed. Though as a Norwegian I obviously found the concept of the new manager of Stabæk (recently promoted to the 1st tier) taking over Man Utd as even more amusing.

Frankly, I suspect that he was joking. Still, you can't be sure as, well, it is NewYorkExpress.

Wow, Guardiola's really done a number on Bayern. A shadow of last year's dominant team.

Van Gaal supposedly has an agreement in place with United already. Remember, he's leaving at the coach of The Netherlands after the World Cup.

Tito Vilanova, the former Barcelona coach, has died aged 45 after a long battle with cancer.

Vilanova had a tumour removed from his throat in November 2011 before suffering a relapse in December 2012.

He stepped down as Barca boss last July to continue his treatment, with Gerardo Martino taking charge.

"FC Barcelona is in immense mourning. Tito Vilanova has died at the age of 45. May he rest in peace," said a statement from the Spanish club.

"The club wishes to express its most heartfelt sympathy to his family, who are being joined in these moments of mourning by FC Barcelona members and fans all around the world, as well as the rest of the footballing and sporting world.

"The Vilanova family has asked for respect for their desire for the strictest intimacy in the moments after his death."

The club added that a "space for condolence" would be opened in the main grandstand at their Nou Camp stadium on Friday.

Dani Alves: Barcelona defender eats banana after it lands on pitch

Barcelona's Dani Alves reacted to having a banana thrown at him during Sunday's dramatic 3-2 win at Villarreal by peeling it and then taking a bite.

He was about to take a corner when the banana landed on the pitch.

"We have suffered this in Spain for some time," said Alves. "You have to take it with a dose of humour."

Former Barca striker Gary Lineker praised Alves. "Picked it up, peeled it, ate it and proceeded to take the corner," he tweeted.  "Top response."

The ex-England striker added: "Utterly brilliant reaction from Alves. Treat the racist berk with complete disdain!"

...o.k...

...it's possible that we won't go down after all.

Probably best to assume that we will, to be on the safe side. Touch wood, etc.

Tonight is Bayern vs. Real

I'm still undecided if I should bet some money on this game, because the winning quotas are 1.75-4-4, which means a Real-win would be equally worth to a draw. These are quite high quotas for Real, considering the shape Ronaldo and Bale are in.

I'm probably betting 100€ on Real, so I'll get 400€ out of it, with a 300€ yield.

Real has so far never won in Munich:

But the 10th time they will beat Munich !

I'm going to bet on Real, 100€ Smiley

My guess: 2-1 Real (they advance to the Final 3-1 on aggregate)
