For the record, Nay
Also I thought we got 48 hours to vote?
The only 48 hour vote is a vote to table something.
Final votes are a maximum of seven days, but that is a long time to let a vote go and we would be here forever if they all took that long. They can be ended early if a majority has voted one way or or another. If there is a divide like 6-4 or even 6-1, twenty four hours are to be given for vote changes on such final votes (unless less than 24 hours remain on seven days time then you just wait). This was 0-6 and thus with no dissent, not such time period is required.
And before someone blames me this predates me and probably goes back many years before that as Maxy can verify.
I mean you could probably lose the vote change period since it is only applied on final votes, cloture and I think overides but not amendments, nominess and so forth, but I would want to see why I was established in the first place, before voting to remove it in a rule change.
I sent you guys a link to a post in the General Senate Discussion thread that contains an abridged version of the basics, I haven't had time to refine it much since then unfortunately, but all the vote lengths and stuff are listed there.
